Four Star Review

A lovely peaceful site, and one that has very helpful owners, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The site shop has the best stock of meat products that I have found on my travels.

A a very handy superstore within easy distance.

A return visit is definitely on the cards

Practical Caravan Top 100 Parks Award 2008

A beautiful lake with ducks, geese and swans dominates this quiet, country 12-acre caravan park. You can walk into the black and white village of Pembridge in minutes or, for day trips, the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons are both within reach. Pitches are grass or hardstanding, and all are equipped with electric, water and waste-water hook-up. Washroom, washing-up and laundry facilities are located in the heated amenities block. The farm shop supplies groceries, and its butcher’s sells the farm’s own meat products.

Perfectly positioned as a weekend retreat for caravanners of the West Midlands, Stanmore Hall occupies a pretty parkland setting, just two miles from the picturesque riverside town of Bridgnorth in Shropshire. The site also attracts many visitors from further afield thanks to its proximity to motorways and
its central location.
The touring areas here are very spacious and are spread out among the many trees surrounding the large lake. There are even examples of giant redwood trees towering over some of the pitches; although not as huge as their Californian cousins, these trees are seriously tall. There is a real quality feel to this park, and the majestic peacocks that stroll among the caravans add a lovely splash of colour. The lake is fenced off except for one end so care must be taken here if you have children. There is a play area, and this is located out of earshot of the adults-only section which is screened by trees for further sound-proofing.
The Severn Valley Railway finishes its scenic 16-mile course in Bridgnorth. Steam trains run on most weekends throughout the year, and daily between May and September. The ‘Santa Special’ service runs throughout December and is always a big hit with youngsters.
Thanks to its great location, a holiday at Stanmore Hall can be as diverse as you want.
