Hardwick Park is an exceptional location, where the whole family can escape and relax, choosing to do absolutely nothing or taking in many of the great activities that abound throughout Oxfordshire. Open from April to October, the park has over 200 well laid out pitches that are welcoming to motorhomes and tents, while there are also a large number of permanently owned holiday homes, one of which you may consider buying should you want to make Hardwick Park your regular retreat in the middle of the Oxfordshire countryside.
This huge park is set in mature parkland, bordered by the beautiful River Windrush. There are few campsites in Oxfordshire that offers the tranquil haven that Hardwick Park does.
A club house on site brings you food, drink, and entertainment every day the park is open, meaning that if you go for the relaxing escape option you never have to venture more than a few hundred metres from your holiday home or tent. A shop and takeaway facilities are also available, so if you are looking for a relaxing evening ‘indoors,’ that is available to you, too.
The location of Hardwick Park means that the historic city of Oxford is within reach and a definite must when it comes to heading out and exploring. Great shops, restaurants, and museums abound in the city, while a little further outside is the stunning Blenheim Palace, now a royal household but perhaps most famous for being the birthplace of legendary wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
The Cotswolds await you in the opposite direction, some of England’s most stunning ‘green and pleasant’ countryside and home to an abundance of friendly villages. Depending on your energy levels, options for getting around range from walking or jogging to cycling and horse riding, should that option appeal to you. Golf and fishing is also widely available nearby for those looking for more relaxing pursuits, while the more adventurous can enjoy the activities offered by the Hardwick Park Watersports Centre, which allows you to be dragged around in a rubber ring behind a motorboat, water-skiing, and many other activities depending on how actively involved you wish to be.
