The most stunning thing about Queensberry Bay Holiday Park is our location in South West Scotland. Often bypassed by those seeking the beauty of the Highlands on the one hand, or the stunning views of the Lake District on the other, we are just half an hour from the busy border city of Carlisle but could be a million miles away!

Queensberry Bay is a peaceful holiday park on the south west coast of Scotland, just half an hour from Carlisle and specialising in total relaxation breaks. We’ll make your stay the best we possibly can by:

Providing superb shower facilities, licensed shop, laundry and tourers’ kitchen so there are no nasty surprises

Using only top of the range self catering holiday units so you’ll be in complete comfort.

This is my 4th visit here and every time I come I feel welcome, the staff are great....nice that you have the personal touch as they know me now! Stayed in an S Pod again....the towels were arranged into swans on the bed (lovely touch by talented staff!). The pods have anything you could need with full cutlery/utensils, heating and even a DVD player! The views were even more amazing as tide changes from last year created different views. People on site friendly as they recognised me and met new people as everyone talks to each other Also Joanne and her husband are always VERY friendly and have time for a chat when im here, they even let me late checkout which was lovely touch. It was also lovely to see all the great friendly animals and the little ducklings who have grown since May!! Look forward to coming back in May.

Many thanks for taking the time to review and for your great comments. The S-Pods are so well designed by Swift and have been a huge hit this year, particularly in conjunction with our Spa Days. And we have a major newspaper coming next week to review them - so don't leave it too late to book for next year!! Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Don’t know what it is about QB but as soon as we drive over the hill, on the approach to Powfoot village, relaxation ‘kicks in’ as we see the Solway stretched out before us. It is total ‘chill-out’ from arrival to departure which is why we return time after time.

A marvelous wonder, a position hidden, off the beaten track and yet totally glorious an absolute hidden treasure. Visited for a day and never left, now have a static holiday home of my own on the site, fees are reasonable, staff are fabulous and views are one of a kind. Perfect for those back to basics holidays where family and fun matters, the beach, the weather and the walks. Not to mention the rescue animals on the park that you can feed with food from the shop. Would recommend to everyone whose looking for a short stay or a long stay...its the PERFECT GETAWAY!

WOW! This is one fantastic site. Within walking distance of Powfoot golf club and just a few miles outside Annan, which has a good sized Somerfield and a Costcutter, its ideally placed for touring the surrounding area. The layout of this park has been particularly well thought out with specific areas for family pitches. A choice of shoreside pitches to allow you a sea view or field pitches which are not as exposed to the wind and give you a great view of the gorgeous horses, donkey's and Alpaca's in the adjacent farm.

There is a little shop in the reception area that stocks the all basics. The facilities block looks as if it has just been built. The toilets have several cubicle wet rooms which even include a dispenser with soap, shampoo and conditioner, are immaculately clean at all times as is the laundry room. For campers there is a fantastic campers kitchen with use of a microwave and a seating area which must be a godsend in bad weather.

The jewel in the crown of this site just has to be the private Spa which you can hire from as little as £15 depending on which package you choose. It boasts a small pool for power swimming, a sauna and a hot tub and its fantastic!

The staff are extremely helpful and always on hand if needed. On booking you will be charged £20 deposit for the toilet key, it may sound a lot but I would imagine it's because it's the electronic type and would be expensive to replace. On the plus side it is nice to pick up £20 as you leave.

There is also a choice of self catering units from a wigwam to log cabin, we were so impressed with this site we visited twice in June and have booked a self catering unit in November.

This is the first time we have been to this site and found it to be very well run with good pitches. This must be one of the best sites in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the toilets are supersonic as the are fully en-suite. We will definately be back here.

The Past

** This review was originally posted by G Taylor from Leeds. **

I came to this site a few years back and thought the location was beaufitul but the site itself was very shabby and rundown.
Then I heard it had been taken over and came back this year on spec - what a delight!
This is one of those undiscovered little gems. You have to see it to believe that somewhere like this still exists.
