Sandylands Holiday Park is owned and managed by the Park Resorts chain of popular family holiday parks. Sandylands is set in the town of Saltcoats, on the beautiful Ayrshire coast. The park is open all year round, and offers a good range of holiday homes for hire and for sale, as well as welcoming guests with touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.

At Sandylands 26 pitches are available, all of them on grass, with electric hook ups available at a number of them; space is provided on each pitch for guests wishing to erect awnings. There are both flat and gently sloping pitches available, with drinking water taps, waste water disposal and chemical waste disposal points being found across the camping and touring areas of the holiday park. The facilities available for camping and touring guests include heated toilet and shower blocks, a laundrette, and dishwashing facilities. Guests are permitted to take their dogs on holiday to Sandylands, with a small additional cost applicable.

During your holidays at Sandylands Holiday Park you will find a wide selection of activities to enjoy on the site. Families particularly love the park’s swimming pool complex, which is one of the most popular places on the site. During family holidays here you can choose to enjoy the day doing your own thing or participating in the organised water activities planned by the park. These include ‘Water Worx’ and ‘Pirate Rafting,’ with many of the activities perfect for families with small children who have only just started swimming or who are looking to build confidence in the water.

Out of the water there are plenty of other things to do. The adventure playground is loved by children who visit Sandylands, while guests will also find an all-weather sports court where ball games can be enjoyed. Organised events and competitions frequently take place on the sports court throughout the year.

The park also provides a welcome relief for parents who need a break from time to time, because there are children’s clubs and activities available for young ones, from toddlers right up to teenagers.

Sandylands Holiday Park has a restaurant that is open throughout the day, with a fish and chip takeaway facility open in the evening on most days, and until late on Friday and Saturday.

Guests who are looking to stock up on their own food and other essentials can shop at the on-site convenience store, which is open every day. The bar is also open throughout the day while the Showbar is open in the evening, where guests head to enjoy the live entertainment provided by the park, a lot of which encourages audience participation and is fun for the whole family.

Away from the site itself there is much to do, with the beach only five minutes away and offering stunning views out to sea. From Saltcoats, guests can take a fishing trip out to sea with members of the local fishing community, while those preferring dry land can explore the town and eat the fresh catches in one of the many seafront cafes and restaurants.

There are also miles of walking and cycling trails found along the coast as well as into the countryside and woodland, while there are plenty more opportunities for fishing and golf to be found across the area.

Went today for the Easter holidays and my birthday with my 5 year old daughter we drove over 200 miles
she was so exited as she had never been been a caravan before
The heating was not working we called twice then after 90 mins we decided to leave.
cooker would only light with a lighter i had.
no instructions for anything.
They offered us another site to go to but said no thanks.
My daughter was in tears and shivering .
Thanks for spoiling our daughters holiday and my birthday.

My husband and I have just a lovely 5 day break at Sandlands in Ayrshire with my daughter, son-in-law and 4 year old grandson. The staff when we arrived were very welcoming, friendly and very helpful and pleasant.
The caravan was well- equipped, warm, and cosy. The entertainment staff were very good, and they worked hard to entertain the chldren who were on the site at the same time as us. Well done. We would reccommend it to any-one who wanted a short break, and we will definitely be thinking about returning next year

Had been going to Sandylands for years but decided to buy a tourer and put it on for the season! The entertainment was great as usual with something for all the family and staff as friendly and helpful as ever. The downsides of touring was the price, far too expensive and inflating every year as i was told. Also the toilet/shower block was a disgrace, very run down and full of cobwebs and with the chemical toilet round the back, hardly hygenic. Come on Sandylands with the money you must be rakin in at least cater for tourers needs!

Staff were great but caravan was awful. We paid for a silver van hoping for some comfort but were hugely dissapointed. Day 1 we discovered the kettle didn't work and on day 2 we realised that the microwave didn't work either. The kitchen light was hanging by its cable and the ironing board was broken.Every time we used the hoover there was a nasty smell coming from it.

We recently stayed there for a week, cant fault the staff but the touring area leaves a lot to be desired. The toilet block has gaps in the doors, showers are only hot in the morning, chemical and grey water go in the same place, and if it rains the place is amuck hole. we got woken up every night by the freight trains and the van shuddered every time,so you wont catch me there again unless they up grade the touring facilities. But the staff do a great job.

Have recently travelled all over the west coast looking for the right park first, obviously cost and budget came into our decision to purchase our first holiday home. Would just like to thank the friendly young lady sales person that showed us around and explained everything so comprehensively. All of our questions were answered and she took so much time and trouble to find exactly what we were looking for, we are now looking forward to many years of happiness in our new holiday home. A big thankyou.

just back from sandylands after one night of camping it was ment to be 5 days but on arriving we were told that the camping didnt have electric hook ups although thats what was booked over the telephone. They eventually found us a bit of muddy grass next to the railway line to pitch the tent. Monday night we were flooded as it was torrential rain and we were on a hill we all had to sleep in the car. The next day we had to book into a hotel for the night as all our bedding clothes etc were soaked. The staff were not interested even though i told them we had a disabled daughter with us.Had the cheek to ask us if we enjoyed it and they were met with a very nasty answer from me !.

Touring site was very flat and close to all amenities, only one thing that spoiled the holiday was that touring field was only a few feet away from a very busy railway line. The club was very quiet in May but it was very clean and well stocked.
