The family arrived at this site in late June just outside the main holiday season and we had a great stay. The team in reception were very helpful and booking was no problem. We chose a Premier pitch for all them amenities and were very pleased. The park was very clean and tidy and all the staff friendly. Upon arrival we had a look around the park and were very happy with our choice. Their is a reception with separate information point, laundry, games room, large shop and takeaway/restaurant. The food was great from the site and indulged in a few takeaways back to the van. There is no club but we didn't mind that at all. There is a toilet block for each large field, one for the camping, one for the bottom fields and one by the statics. The swimming pool was very clean and secure, albeit unattanded. There is a kids pool as well as the larger pool. There are 2 play areas with different apparatus for young and older children. The park is about a mile away from the nearest village and beach, which we can highly recommend. We all had a whale of a time on the beach (very clean). The site is also about half a mile from the nearest main road, handy, with no noise emenating from it. The site has a bus stop outside the entrance with a regular service to Newquay and Truro. We would certainly recommend the site and are going to be booking a pitch there again next year.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at Trevella in a tourer. This was the second time we have stayed there ( because of proximity to surf) First the good news. The site itself is well-maintained with good sized pitches, beautiful flowers, and panoramic views. The facilities are plentiful (shop, cafe, laundrette, outdoor pool, kids play area, fishing lake) and generally clean, and in the case of the showers free. The staff are friendly and there are no silly rules or regulations. Gnerally it is a very peaceful and relaxed site. We have never encountered late night noise, and there is no club (that's a good thing for us but obviously that's our preference and others may disagree). I think it is reasonably priced for the standard of facilities. Off site, there is a very pleasant walk through fields to Crantock Beach (good for surfing and bathing), or a little bit further to Newquay itself. There is a supermarket within a mile, and a good bus service to Newquay if you fancy leaving the car behind.
So why would I not give it top marks? Well to begin with despite what it says in the 'professional' reviews, most of the site is on a very steep slope, and it takes some doing to get the van level (although there are no obvious rules about how you park it or which way you face). Secondly three of the 4 toilet blocks are well past their sell-by date. The showers are exceptionally cramped (and we are neither very tall nor broad) and there are no privacy cubicles (as you would expect at a 'premier' site). A small but irritating lack of hooks or a place to put your things while having a shower also takes marks off. There is a brand new extension to one block with family bathrooms bigger showers and privacy cubicles so perhaps more updating is on the way but even here not enough hooks!
Overall this is a good family site, in an excellent location. Perhaps we're a bit picky or perhaps we've been spoilt by other sites.

The first thing that greets you at Trevella is the beautiful display of flowers on either side of the wide entrance. Inside, there are flowerbeds, shrubs and trees in abundance.
Also notable is the profusion of wildlife, including birds, no doubt attracted by the large nature reserve and lakes at the park. In recognition of its work in protecting this natural habitat, the park has received the David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award.
The touring part of the park is well
laid-out, and although partly sloping, has been terraced at one end to create good-sized, level pitches. The pitches are separated by grass, small hedges and, in places, low fences. The 52 full-serviced pitches – with TV aerial point, water and drainage – get snapped up quickly, so booking is essential. There are no facilities for the disabled.
Adjacent to the reception office is a licenced mini-market and a café/dining area where breakfasts, snacks and full meals are available.
For children, there is a pets’ corner, with rabbits, guinea pigs and birds. If the kids need to let off steam, point them in the direction of the adventure playground, the outdoor heated swimming pool and paddling pools.
This is a well-run family park catering for all age groups. It is kept spotless, and will appeal to caravanners of all ages.

This beautiful spot is a regular winner of the Newquay in Bloom award, with surroundings rich in plantlife. It is also one of the most popular campsites because of its good management and slightly longer season. The Newquay area is world-famous for its surf, and one of the best places to check it out is Crantock. Fistral Beach is also home to the Rip Curl World Championships in summer. There are two fishing lakes on site, and permits are available from reception. You can also visit the on-site nature reserve.
Trevella is immaculate, and a lot of emphasis is placed on peace and quiet, making it perfect for young families. There are 240 touring pitches in total, 147 with electric hook-up. There are also 28 premium pitches, which are fully serviced with electricity, water, drainage and TV hook-up. The toilets and washing facilities are maintained to a very high standard. There is also a hairdressing room and baby room. The site has a well-stocked shop and a laundrette. On-site leisure includes an outdoor heated pool, games room and TV room, an adventure playground for the kids, and crazy golf for children and adults alike. Food is available from Nicky's Kitchen (eat-in or take-away).
