For adult-only holidays in South Devon, Parkland Caravan and Camping Site features panoramic views over Salcombe and the rolling countryside towards Dartmoor from its idyllic position near Kingsbridge, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Open all year, this pet-free site is set across three acres of well-maintained grounds and offers pitches suitable for tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes, with four different types of pitch to pick from, so there's something for anyone looking for adult-only holidays in South Devon. Seasonal pitches and a storage service are also available.

The fully serviced 9m x 9m grass pitches, located in the camping area, each come with a picnic bench, 16 amp electric hook-up, a mains water tap, and grey waste water disposal. These pitches are backed by a hedgerow and surrounded by fencing to give a private feel.

Standard pitches have a 12m x 5m gravel base for your caravan or motorhome, as well as a grass area alongside. They're equipped with a 16 amp electric hook-up, a mains water point, and grey and black waste water disposal, as well as a picnic bench.

Splash out on a premier pitch and you'll enjoy everything from the standard pitch as well as private amenities alongside, so you'll have access to your own toilet, washbasin, and walk-in shower.

There are three deluxe pitches which are appropriate for a caravan or motorhome of up to 8m, or which can house a tent on the grass area. These have all the amenities of a premier pitch, as well as a garden area, washing line, and use of a utility room shared between the deluxe pitch occupants. The utility room contains a dishwashing sink, dishwasher, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board.

There are also glamping pods on offer, as well as self-catering accommodation options including a one-bedroom bungalow, a one-bedroom cabin, and a comfortable double room.

Parkland provides couples, families (over-18s only) and friends with a high standard of amenities and services required for your comfort on a modern adult-only holiday. Two communal amenity buildings are provided with everything you need, including washrooms, showers, mini kitchens, laundry and dishwashing facilities, as well as an additional amenity building for the deluxe pitches.

You'll also find a shop on-site with provisions, fresh local produce and everyday essentials, as well as local tourist information and free Wi-Fi, so you won't run short of anything you might need for holidays in South Devon. Electric vehicle charging is available.

This was a return to this site for us, after a few years of not being able to use our van. We were pleasantly surprised that James the owner remembered us and our children, even though our eldest two were not with us this time, caravanning doesn’t seem to be cool for teenagers!

The site still has a lovely family feel to it, and we were pleased to see changes had been made to the facilities since our last stay. What James calls the new block has a couple of family washrooms, this was brilliant, lots of space for showering with our youngest who has special needs.

We spent an afternoon at Coombe Water fishery which is just down the road from the site, my son loved it and most probably had the biggest catch of the day, according to him and my partner went shopping into Kingsbridge. You don’t need to travel far from the site, we always found something to do, with the good weather we spent a lot of time on Bantham beach as well, but on a wet day that we had we made the most of the local pool, and then we saw a film at the quaint cinema.

Overall I would say anyone would enjoy a stay at this site, level pitches, clean toilets, friendly owner and a good location – if you are a ‘caravanner’ try and book one of their ‘super pitches’

This is a lovely clean site with all amenities provided to a high standard. Perfect for a peaceful holiday in the Devon countryside, reasonably close to the town and safe for children. There is no entertainment except for a children's play area. The pitches are huge with plenty of space for the caravan, awning and car. My only criticism is that dogs are not allowed so we are unable to holiday any longer
