Directions

We recommend that you use the A16 via Sibsey, and follow the brown tourism signs to access the site.
Do not follow sat nav instructions as they can take you down bumpy roads.
At Sibsey: take the turn to Old Leake on the B1184.
Follow the road to the end and turn left at the T-junction signposted New Leake. You will have the Hobhole drain to your left.
Continue for approx 1 mile, cross over railway crossing then turn next right, into Station Road (sometimes called Common Side Road on sat navs).
Long Acres is located approx 0.5 miles on the left, just after the bend.

How this site has been awarded such high ratings amazes me. It is one stretch of road with pitches either side. The dog "walk" is a bit at the end and is on two levels, hardly an exercise area. The pictures don't show the electricity pylons or the stagnant stream running the length of the site. The motorhome service point is a length of large diameter waste pipe that you are expected to align with your outlet and the open drain. The approach road is the worst undulating surface I've ever come across (I admit they do warn about it being uneven, but be prepared to be thrown around). Saving grace....its quiet.

On arrival at this adults only site, we were warmly greeted by fairly new owners, John and Tracey, and directed to our hard standing pitch. All pitches are hard standing and well spaced out, with room to pitch tents on the grass. Lots of trees and shrubs on site, and grass kept very neat and tidy. The facilities block was modern and very clean. One nice touch, was a freezer for ice packs, (especially useful for those under canvas). At the entrance to the site there was an information kiosk contained leaflets for surrounding atractions, and a folder containing menus from local eateries - useful for those of us who don't cook an evening meal. All in all, a treasure of a site, so much so that we stayed an extra night.

Visited this lovely Adult Only Site for Easter and may bank holiday. We have nothing against children but we do like a child free holiday from time to time. We were made welcome on arrival, by owners Steve & Margaret, nothing is to much trouble for them, they will advise, help to unhook caravan, or help to erect your tent, as well as giving you direction for a day out or a cycle route, Steve checks the site every morning and evening to make sure everybody is safe. The toilets, showers, and washing up block is spotlessly clean, as is the waste water and cemical disposal. You even get the radio playing in the toilet Block. Easter Sunday Steve came around the site with a tray of easter eggs, which was a lovely jesture we thought. This little site has only been open for three years, if you are one of the unlucky ones not to have visited yet, you really have missed a little gem of a site.
