This is an ideal place if you want to use it as a base camp whilst out hill walking or cycling or even if you just want to chill out for a couple of days, their are some of the most beautiful views of the Scottish highland leading up to this site.

The site it self is very well maintained, but can do with a bit of an over hauling and a little more thought to the layout when it come down to the actual camping area, and what i mean by this is, caravan and motor homes should have a separate area set a side from the tenting area instead of a mix, it's a bit of a free for all, pitch where you like seem to be the normal thing to do at this site, it is a very uneven site, so when it rains you can have a bit of a nightmare with pools of water, the road and paths leading around this site are very uneven and is in bitter need of repair.

Male and female shower and toilet block area are very well maintained, but can do with a bit of an over hauling and a better thought to the layout, their are only 3 shower and toilet cubicles in each of the blocks which have a very small shower area and have very little privacy, their is only one chemical disposal point which situated at the side of the shower and toilet block so it is bit of a pain if you are far from the toilet block, not to many fresh water points, and is not very well sign posted to where all the fresh and waste water and electric points are.

The big plus is the pepole who run this site, working very hard to keep every going and always on hand to give advice on what their is available in and around this area.
