We stayed here for our third holiday of the year we have two children and take along our father/ inlaw who is in his seventies the park to which we have stayed on twice before came up with all the boxes ticked again a very warm welcome and a welocme from the park wardens when setting up on a very large hedge pitches and always made time to talk and answer any questions etc the toilets/ showers again were always clean and plentifull along with the park in general . We did not see father/inlaw for most of the time as he was playing golf on the nine hole or getting onto local transport to visit the area also the kids played in the pool each afternoon after we had riden our bikes around the new forest along with meeting new friends on the park till dusk we hardley knew we had family around us the park security for the children gave us as it always has a sense of relaxation it was full regarding pitches and that says what other tourers say about this site i would always recomend it to any one who wants to visit the new forest

We absolutely love this site and although there are changes afoot this year the standard for tourers was still as good as ever. The site has many facilities (espesially for families)although we quite enjoy the solitude of the caravan as our life is quite hectic day to day,its so nice to unwind. The site is edged with trees and on our last visit we had regular bird visits and I shared my meusli with a young squirrel. The surrounding area provides everything you could want with an abundance of really good restaurants and also you don't have to travel far for the normal take aways.you have many choices of places to visit five minutes in one direction you are in the New Forest where the Ponies amble along,or you can go in the opposite direction and you have the the beach. Our favourite is probably a nice coffee at Milford on Sea looking over to the needles of the Isle Of Wight.Wonderful!Keep up the good work Bashley, although on the down side they do prevent us trying anywhere else.

This is a great family site with loads to do from golf, tennis, football kids playgrounds etc outdoors to snooker and arcade games indoors, the indoor and outdoor pools are safe and very clean, and the bars and food facilities are also excellent.
Toilet facilities are excellent and the pitches are level and large with tarmac pitch for motorhome and gravel along side for your awning.
This site give you all you need to have a great holiday without having to leave the site if you want a holiday without having to go out for facilities.
One thing "do not rely on your sat nav to get you to the reception as when i travelled there it stopped short of the site when i used the postcode for reference"

Practical Caravan Great Escapes recommended park Nov 2006

This is a family-friendly site with loads for everyone to do, including a licensed bar, an adventure playground and plenty of sports facilities. There are indoor and outdoor pools,
a golf course and tennis courts.
Although it’s bustling, there are hedges between each pitch, which give a surprising sense of privacy. We were also impressed to see recycling facilities for glass, paper, cardboard, bottles and jars.
Although just outside of the New Forest itself, Hoburne Bashley is only a short drive from the National Park and the sea.

Is there anything they don’t have on this site? Those looking for a holiday in scenic surroundings with a host of activities and amenities could do no better than Hoburne Bashley. This large holiday park has static units as well as a touring area which, although subdivided, is really one large rectangle surrounded by trees.

Although you are the heart of the countryside, the sea is never far away, and the lively resort of Bournemouth is only a few miles to the west. But the multitude of on-site facilities is where Hoburne Bashley really scores: for starters, there is an indoor swimming pool with a waterflume and a large circular outdoor pool that has an equally large paddling pool next to it.

Pitches are large, clearly marked and numbered. Toilet facilities are very good, with several units placed back to back in the centre of the touring field. A large licensed club and family lounge provides entertainment at peak season and bank holidays; meals are served on a large, enclosed patio overlooking the pools, and there is also a take-away service.

Abundant provision is made for children, too: an outdoor adventure playground is matched by an indoor play area, and there is a children’s club for 4-11 year olds.

Tents, trailer tents and pup tents are not allowed, and Tabbert, Hobby and Lord Munsterland caravans are not accepted.

Set in park-like surroundings on the edge of the New Forest, the Hoburne Group’s Bashley Park has excellent facilities and is very family friendly. It also serves as an ideal base camp for exploring the South Coast. Southampton, Bournemouth and Swanage are all within easy reach, as are countless New Forest towns.

The heated outdoor swimming pool provides the main focus during the summer months, and there is a small paddling pool for younger children. An indoor pool complex also houses a water flume, sauna, spa pool and steam room. Golfers can swing their clubs on its nine-hole pitch and putt course. In the evening attention shifts to the clubhouse. The site has a ballroom, bars, restaurants and hot food takeaways. During high season there are nightly entertainments, including discos. Youngsters will enjoy using the video games room, TV lounge and two full-size snooker tables. Bikes can also be hired and children are free to use them on the camp.

Washing facilities are in four blocks with showers, laundry facilities and food preparation areas. There is one block per field and they have all been recently refurbished. The site can take 420 touring units, 46 of which are fully serviced, with their own water supply. Pitching is spread over three flat meadows and a woodland area.

It is a sizable park and the pitches have plenty of space. Trailer tents, tents and pup tents, however, are not allowed and you are asked to lift ground sheets daily.
