The convenient location of Silver Ridge puts you within a 20-minute drive of the breathtaking scenery and many other attractions of the Lake District. Kendal is 10 miles away, Carnforth 6 miles, the seaside atmosphere of Morecambe 13 miles, and the city of Lancaster is just 12 miles away. There's a delightful 12-hole golf course nearby. The rugged beauty of Leighton Moss nature reserve covers more than 300 acres, and there's a foreshore of over 4000 acres close by. Of the 250 or so species of birds recorded here, some 75 regularly breed in the RSPB sanctuary.

At Arnside, the 250ft Arnside Knot rises above the village and overlooks the River Kent to Grange-over-Sands. Ancient monuments, historic houses, glorious gardens, ruined castles, interesting folk museums and colourful craft centres abound throughout this delightful area at the foot of the legendary Lake District.
