My friends and I stay at this park every year when we attend the Great Yorkshire Show. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. A beautiful site but great facilities. Suitable for all - groups, couples and families. Staff very friendly and helpful, always allowing us the same pitch each year! Very clean and tidy park. Not the cheapest park around but definately worth every penny. A very big site but well laid out so you have your privacy. Fabulous site, definately worth a visit!

A superb site, Rudding Holiday Park covers 50
acres of parkland and fully deserves its numerous accolades. Easy access and the site’s careful layout create a relaxed setting.
Next to an impressive golf course, visited by the likes of former American President Bill Clinton, the estate also includes a hotel and two restaurants.
Although the site is huge, the touring area retains its own identity, and all the pitches have electric hook-up.
Some of the pitches are a little close to the caravan storage area, but a track separates your outfit from these permanently parked caravans. If you decide to choose a pitch towards the site’s rear, you’ll have the largest amount of space and better views.
The Deer House pub provides food and occasional entertainment during the summer. From its concourse you can access the heated outdoor pool and sun terrace. The Clock Tower restaurant provides a more formal setting for dinner and the luxury Rudding Park Hotel has a health spa.

Practical Motorhome independent site reviews Dec 2006
This site forms part of the
50-acre Rudding Park complex, which also offers an
18-hole golf course, a heated outdoor swimming pool and two restaurants. With its numerous facilities, its aim is to provide
a completely self-contained holiday experience, and in this it succeeds admirably.
The touring area is laid out imaginatively. The walled garden area and the grass terrace at the rear of the site are particularly attractive and offer a little extra space, although all the pitches are reasonably generous in size.
There are two toilet/shower facilities positioned on either side of the touring area. If you take one of the pitches on the rear grass terrace you will have a bit of a walk to reach them, but many people prefer to be away from the hustle and bustle surrounding the amenities.
All of the attractions of North Yorkshire are within an easy drive, but there is little reason to venture outside this park.
As well as the golf course (available on a ‘pay and play’ (basis) and driving range, there are two children’s play areas, parkland walks, a games room and a pub that serves traditional bar food. Better still, the pub backs onto the outdoor heated pool, sun terrace and children’s paddling pool. And if you are looking for a special treat, the Rudding Park Hotel also has
an à la carte restaurant.

Practical Caravan Top 100 Parks Awards 2005
A superb five-star site, Rudding Park covers 50 acres of parkland and fully deserves its numerous accolades. Access is easy: it’s located just off the A658 Harrogate-to-Knaresborough road near the pretty village of Follifoot, and the site’s careful layout creates a relaxed setting.
Adjacent to an impressive golf course that has been visited the likes of former American president Bill Clinton, the estate also includes a hotel and two restaurants.
Although the site is huge and contains cottages and log cabins as well as space for caravanners, the touring area retains its own identity. The 140 generous pitches all have electric hook-up, and about half are on grass. The rest are on hardstanding and include water supply.
Some of the pitches are a little close to the caravan storage area, but a track separates your outfit from these permanently parked caravans. If you decide to choose a pitch towards the site’s rear, you’ll have the largest amount of space and better views.
The Deer House pub provides food, and, during summer, occasional entertainment. From its concourse you can access the heated outdoor pool and sun terrace, and a children’s paddling pool.
The Clocktower restaurant provides a more formal setting for dinner, and the hotel offers a health spa and gym. This is a caravan park with true class.

Rudding Park’s handsomely laid-out grounds are perfectly placed for the attractions of north and east Yorkshire and it can become quite busy. The management strives to maintain a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.
The partly wooded, partly open parkland is arranged to keep the site feeling pleasant and spacious, with the touring and static homes (as well as some timber lodges) all kept separated by trees and hedges.
One of the camping areas is slightly sloping, but the rest of the grounds are terraced with level pitches. There are 141 touring pitches, some of which are inside the walled garden, and all have electricity (10/16A). There are also 17 fully-serviced superpitches with their own garden areas and picnic tables.
An 18-hole course and driving range sits on the outer edge of the park, although you will need to show your handicap in order to use these facilities. The Deer House pub, overlooking the pool, is open at weekends and school holidays for drinks and bar meals. For a special evening out, the Rudding Park Hotel has more expensive dining in its smart bar or restaurant. Younger guests can use the large adventure playground or play ball games in a separate field. The heated outdoor swimming pool and paddling pool are open in the summer, and two games rooms are set out with pool and gaming machines for older children.
