Eshton Road Caravan Park

Eshton Road Caravan Park is a family holiday destination on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, outside the large village of Gargrave.

The park is open all throughout the year and has 30 pitches, of which 20 are touring pitches and 10 are tent pitches. This campsite also has a selection of static caravans that are permanently placed at the park, ideal for guests that fall in love with the Yorkshire Dales and the surrounding area and are looking for a regular holiday retreat. This is also a dog friendly campsite.

Facilities available for guests to use during their stay include toilet and shower blocks, a laundrette, a washing up point and a chemical waste disposal point.

If you want to visit the Yorkshire Dales, this is a great campsite as it's so nearby. There are numerous walking trails to follow, while horse riding is also offered at several locations nearby. The park sits on the banks of the Leeds Liverpool Canal, which offers a hugely popular walking route.

As well as exploring the Yorkshire Dales at your own pace, you also have the option of taking advantage of a wide selection of guided tours and days out that take place across the region. These range from simple walking expeditions to a more traditional day out taking in museums, farms and other regional attractions. Within the Yorkshire Dales National Park you can also enjoy fell running, mountain biking, caving, climbing, canoeing, sailing, geocaching and windsurfing.

Guests looking for a relaxing outdoor experience will find plenty of places to enjoy a day of fishing across the Yorkshire Dales, while a number of great golf courses are found within both the Dales and elsewhere across West Yorkshire and Lancashire.

The village of Gargrave is less than a 10-minute walk from Eshton Road Caravan Park. The village has a popular hall that is home to tea rooms, and also hosts art exhibitions, pantomimes and various other events. There is also plenty of open space for families to enjoy in the village, while sports fans can often be found watching football or cricket in Gargrave. The village also has a number of pubs where guests can enjoy something to eat and drink at any time throughout the day, so you can take time away from your kitchen on your camping and caravan holidays in Yorkshire.

The bus can be taken from Gargrave to the popular market town of Skipton, or it is a 10-minute drive from this campsite. Markets take place in Skipton four days of the week, and offer a great opportunity for tourists to indulge in a spot of shopping for local produce, as well as to find a bargain. Skipton also has a selection of popular cafés and pubs, as well as quirky gift shops and convenience stores for collecting groceries and more.

Further afield, guests can use Gargrave and Skipton as a gateway to Lancashire and West Yorkshire, with Harrogate, and Leeds within easy reach, or maybe you'd like to visit York. Into Lancashire, guests can be in Preston and Blackburn within an hour.

Eshton Road Caravan Park is a lovely place for a family break, with plenty to do in the surrounding area for the whole family.
