I spent a few nights at this lovely (and very clean) site recently and it was an enjoyable and relaxing break.

I stayed in one of their static caravans rentals which was very clean and almost everything required. The only thing it didn't have was a frying pan, however, I'm sure one of the two owners would have found one if I had asked. My only real complaint with the caravan itself was the shower which was near impossible to get to a good temperature.

All that said, the facilities on the site are great. Shower block, washing up area, mini shop with essentials and a nearby pub (although I didn't use it).

PRO TIP: if you need internet access there is free WiFi on the site, however, only part of the caravan could get a signal and the bedrooms at the back could not. There is elaborately NO phone networks on the site. At all. So you will need to use the free Wifi for internet access and the telephone box for calls.

I really needed internet access for work so I brought a Wireless repeater with me which enabled me to put it in my car (where the free Wifi signal was strongest) and then it boosted and repeated the signal which meant I could EASILY use the internet in the back bedroom area.

You can read more about how I did this, and the equipment I used, on my blog here >> http://tcpserv.uk/lowtrow-cross-caravan-camping/

This is a really nice little site, beautifully kept with all you need for a very peaceful get-away-from-it-all holiday. Ther is a small shopin the reception with all the basics so if you just want to sit around and read (like we do) you don't have to travel. Having said that as we have 2 dogs there are some fabulous walks nearby and as this is on Exmoor there are plenty of places to visit where you can take the dogs as well, not to mention the pub nextdoor which is a typical old fashioned country pub where you can get a decent meal. Ideal if you don't want to venture far. Overall a very pleasant place to stay and as it's not very big a friendly place as well with plenty of tourist info and local knowledge from the wardens/owners.
