We came here in February as we like touring all throughout the year....and never left! It is a beautiful quiet site, well maintained and the owners / management are all very friendly, can't do enough to help ensure your stay is all you would want. We took a year round season pitch after only staying for 4 nights! Even bought another caravan for touring now and then when wanting a change of scenery, which they also store for us at a very competative rate. There is no playpark area just lots of wide open space for kids to " get back to basics " playing ball games etc or just cycling around on their bikes. There is a strict speed limit of 10mph which must be adhered to or you will be told off! Also all dogs must be kept on lead at all times. There is a lovely secluded dog walk over the river, which both my German Shepherds love! This site has been under new ownership for just over a year now, and the difference they have made is outstanding. The shower block is a little dated but always clean, this will be replaced in year two of their three year project. On one occasion when away with the other van for the weekend ( at a caravan club site )we encountered a problem with our van which no-one was interested to help us. We called the manager back at Auchterarder and he pulled out all he stops, even getting a moblie repair man to call us to talk through the steps to rectify our problem...this was at 10.30pm! How's that for service!! We have spent nearly every weekend up at Grand Eagles and would totally recommend this site to anyone looking for a peaceful relaxing time away from it all.

Visited here last month. A lot has changed since the last time I was here. Turns out its under new ownership, no longer the quiet peaceful site that we have enjoyed. Gypsy like lager louts walking about the site with lager cans. People sitting in their awnings till 2/3am in the morning obviously oblivious to other people round them. Dogs running about off the leads peeing and pooing everywhere even the dog walk is littered with dog poo. I watched one dog lift its leg onto someone's tent (not the dogs fault just some lazy owner)and another dog racing about as if it was on a racetrack (I overheard the owner saying it needed exercised !!!! There was also boys taking turns to play on a quad bike. The toilets are now left open for everyone, not safe for the kids to go on their own and I didnt even feel safe taking a shower as I didnt know who was going to walk in. A mini bus came in with a whole bunch of guys and they all went in and used the toilet. I also witnessed what looked like two eastern european guys come in use the shower and drive back out. Wont be long before the travellers move in. The price per night has also gone up dramatically, if you want to pay £20.00 to stay here then I would suggest you throw your money down the drain. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. No owner around to keep the place in check. The only good thing was that the friendly and curteous warden was still there albeit not for much longer atleast the toilets were cleaned when he was there. Its a shame looks like the owner is trying to enhance the site i.e. pitches have their own drive in now but with all the other stuff going on he is wasting his time.

Just returned from a fantastic weekend at this park. It is a very quiet and peaceful site. It is an excellent base for exploring the area. The park itself is very well laid out and you don't feel that you are on top of your neighbours. Good sized pitches. Although it doesn't have a dedicated play park, it has a great woodland walk and a great bridge for the kids to play pooh sticks. Very helpful and friendly owners. We have already booked up to go again in the School Holidays.
