Owner's description
This is Scotland at its bonny best... Situated in the heart of Burns country, our park lies in the rolling hills of Ayrshire - home to some of the world’s top golf courses. Best of all, coastal walks come with stunning views of Ailsa Craig. And the beautiful sunset over the enchanted Isle of Arran is enough to melt your wee heart.
Craig Tara provides a level touring and camping area which is small and relaxed with 39 hard-standing pitches and a brand new shower block. In 2012 we got 15 brand new Super pitches providing drinking water, Electric hook-up and waste water disposal.
Or we have our comfy home from home, self-catering holiday homes? Take your pick from great value Standard to luxury Platinum.

We stayed at Craig tara and really enjoyed it, the site is lovely, there is a lot of things to do there, there was a panto on through the day for the kids this year as well as the night shows, it's also very close to the beach. The food is lovely in the mash & barrel pub. The site is clean and tidy. The evening is also great for shows and bingo, the staff are lovely and friendly, and get everyone dancing on a night time, it was a fun stay for us and our kids, loved it.
: October in 2010We were recently at craig tara holiday park with our touring caravan. We were very disappointed with the standard of campsite. We did not find it reassuring that we were not inside the complex and had no security for our van, awning and property. We did not know that it is not suitable for people with walking disabilities as it was on a steep hill and a long walk. The toilets and showers were clean but very old and in very bad condition. As a seasonal tourer we would in no way recommend this site.
