Owner's description

Dolbeare Park is one of the leading caravan sites in Cornwall. Open throughout the year, this five star-rated park is set in the heart of the Cornish countryside, and offers a peaceful environment while being close enough to major transport links that discovering the rest of Cornwall and Devon is easier than you ever imagined.

The caravan and motorhome pitches at Dolbeare Park are all hard standing with electric and water hook ups, while most of the tent pitches benefit from electric connections. All of the pitches at Dolbeare are of a generous size, and as such a degree of privacy and seclusion is always guaranteed for those who want it.
Dolbeare Park contains a convenience store, off-licence, and takeaway food restaurant, meaning that you never have to leave the site boundaries if you choose not to do so. There is a children’s adventure playground and dedicated open playing area situated well away from the accommodation areas on the site, perfect for letting the younger members of your group to let off steam.

When the weather is acceptable, Dolbeare Park will often host barbecue events that are open to all of the guests, while lovers of the great outdoors can enjoy fishing at a nearby lake, or golf at a number of clubs in the surrounding area. Those unable to remove themselves from their everyday lives can use the on-site Wi-Fi connection to stay in contact with friends at home or use the internet.

Whatever you are looking to do in Cornwall, the whole country is your oyster when you choose Dolbeare Park for your stay. There is everything from a swimming pool, to tennis courts, and even a dry ski slope within a few miles of the park, while the south coast and Dartmoor National Park are all must visit locations for keen adventurers and explorers.

What a fantastic site Dolbeare is, we only stayed for two nights, but to be honest wish we had found this site sooner for our whole holiday. The park is immaculate, facilities are second to none and spotless and the staff are extremely friendly and very helpful (even my 13 year old commented on this!!). Chris, Jan and the team obviously take great pride in the site, with a multitude of evening events including a BBQ etc to keep the families happy.
Excellent sized pitches, easy access and for us very safe for our children to run and play with first class facilites for them too. Strict adherance to the quite hours was a welcome break from our previous site. Will definately be staying again.

21 Aug 2007: CARAVAN LOVER from Somerset reviewed Dolbeare Park

We visited Dolbeare last year and were very impressed. There is an obvious pride taken in the site noticeable from the general upkeep,to the cleanliness,to the helpful wardens.
It is very easily accessible,no small winding lanes to negotiate, and is in a good location for exploring that area of Cornwall.
My only slight reservation is that when we visited the site was quiet, yet as there were only 2 shower cubicles in the ladies there was often a short wait.I would be concerned that the facilities would be very stretched in peak weeks.
However, they were always spotless. This site had a lovely, friendly feel to it and we will definately return in the future.
