Coleford, Gloucestershire

Braceland Camping And Caravan Park is a three-star rated site situated close to the Welsh border in Gloucestershire’s famous Forest of Dean region. The park is open from mid-March until late October and is family and pet friendly. We have pitches that are suitable for motorhomes, tents, and touring caravans, with electric hook-ups also available.

The most striking feature of our park is the views offered across the River Wye, along with the miles of walking and cycling trails that can be immediately accessed from our location. If you enjoy being at one with nature, then you’re going to love staying with us here at Braceland Camping And Caravan Park, which is one of the most charming caravan parks in Gloucestershire. There’s a real “back to basics” feel about our site, even though you have electric and other mod-cons, and it is the perfect location where you can relax and lose yourself during your stay.

The nearest village to the park is Berry Hill, and to the south you’ll find the town of Coleford, which has shops, pubs, and everything you need to stay refreshed and entertained during your stay. Our unique location means you have various opportunities at your disposal when it comes to finding things to do.
Many of our guests prefer to stay in the surrounding area and have fun around the Forest of Dean, where a variety of family activities are available to enjoy. Travelling to Clearwell Caves – a stunning cave system once the centre of a local iron ore boom and now a popular tourist attraction – is also something many do. The caves are now open for exploration and you can spend as long as you like looking around.

Across the border, you don’t have to drive too far to find the sprawling Brecon Beacons National Park, and a trip into rural Wales is always worth the journey. There are many great vantage points close to the park overlooking the Severn, which starts to open out near Cinderford, while those who want to experience the local big city life can be in Gloucester, Bristol, and Cardiff in very little time.

Our park is the perfect location for simply kicking back and relaxing in your surroundings, while there is also plenty to do and explore for those active individuals and families that want to get their heart pumping and enjoy great outdoor fun in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.
