Owner's description

Golden Sands Holiday Park is located in the much-loved resort of Dawlish Warren and has now merged with the nearby Peppermint Park giving you even more holiday pleasure!

Golden Sands welcomes motorhomes, touring caravans and tents on pitches with electric hook-ups and modern facilities. Comfort is guaranteed when you stay at Golden Sands, and you will love it so much that you could easily become one of the many people who have purchased a permanent holiday home in the park, having first experienced it as a guest.

As guests at Golden Sands, the fishing lake and the café found at Peppermint Park are exclusively yours to enjoy and, just down the road at Dawlish Sands Holiday Park, you are welcomed at the indoor and outdoor swimming pools as well as the entertainment venue.

Golden Sands, close to South Devon’s most popular attractions, is ideal for exploring this intriguing area, with miles of heritage coastline and parkland on your doorstep.

Dawlish Warren, with its renowned sand spit designated as a Blue Flag beach, has an amazing range of water sports to try. This seaside resort is the location of both the Golf Course and the Nature Reserve and is the start of a 1.5-mile walk towards Dawlish along the South Devon Railway Sea Wall. Enjoy warm weather throughout the year and you will find the calm waters ideal for paddling and swimming.

The nature reserve at Dawlish Warren is huge, covering in excess of 500-acres, and is home to a wonderful array of wading birds, rare plants, and wildlife.

Not too far from Golden Sands is the town of Teignmouth, a historic fishing port with a Victorian pier, a theatre, cinema and model railway as well as ferries transporting people across the Teign estuary to the quaint village of Shaldon just across the water.

A fantastic caravan park with lovely swimming pool, although a little small. The park is peaceful, laid out in a pleasant way so that you do not feel everyone is on top of you and has a first class restaurant. The cook, Lynne, and the waitress, Clare, were two people that really stood out as extrremely caring and customer orientated. The food was excellent and we would recommend the half board option.
