Forest of Pendle Leisure Park

Barrowford, Lancashire

Own a holiday retreat in a forested valley nestled within the rolling hills of the Forest of Pendle. The family-friendly Forest of Pendle Leisure Park is exclusive to its holiday home and luxury lodge owners. Tranquil and peaceful, it’s the perfect base for exploring Northeast England’s magnificent variety of National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Forest of Pendle surrounds Pendle Hill - a tall, standalone peak of the Pennines - and is part of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This rugged landscape is steeped in history and legend, famous for its past links to the Quaker Movement and witchcraft. Here you’ll find England’s last surviving functioning mill engines.

Though the witches are long gone, the bewitching aura of the landscape remains. If you enjoy walking, you’ll love the many local walking trails that wind through the local stone hamlets and along the gently sloping hillsides above them. Scale the summit of Pendle Hill, and you can treat your eyes to dazzling panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.

Among the many nearby hamlets and villages, you’ll find a great selection of shops for all your necessities, and cosy pubs and independent restaurants in which to rest and refresh after fun days of exploration. If you’re up for travelling a little further during your holiday in Lancashire, the Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale, and the other areas of the Forest of Bowland are all within easy reach.

On-site there is a children’s play area and a laundrette. Next door, The Bay Horse Inn serves hearty meals cooked with local produce and gives exclusive offers to Forest of Pendle Leisure Park holiday-home-owners.

We have owned a tourer for the past 5 years and as our kids are getting a little older they are wanting a little more space on our holiday's so we have been looking at holiday parks in the north west.

We visited the Forest of Pendle Holiday Park on a Sunday in Early June when the sun was shining. We parked up and had a walk around the park whilst our two boys played in the playground.

Whilst we looked at the caravans, the sales manager (ive forgotten the chaps name) came over to us and chatted about the different mix of pre-owned and new caravans for sale, he also
took the time to show us around the park.

Overall the site is lovely with a real friendly feel to the place, and i could see us buying a caravan on this site - however i think that's still a number of months off yet. Looking forward to visiting the site again

Don't touch with a bargepole. Just check how much they will give you if you decide to sell. Company only interested in making money and to •••••• with their customers. Before you make any commitment ask existing owners already trapped there.
