Padstow, Cornwall

Mother Ivey’s Bay enjoys a reputation of being one of Cornwall’s best kept secrets. Positioned at the narrowest point of the picturesque Trevose Headland, the Park offers panoramic views to both the North and West. Situated at the centre of the renowned “seven bays” area, Mother Ivey’s Bay’s own private beach offers golden flat sand leading to the water’s edge. The pearlescent and sheltered cove waters are enjoyed by local seals alongside occasional bodyboarders when neighbouring bays are too rough. Mother Ivey’s Bay is supplemented by six other beaches within walking distance offering dog-friendly, surfer-friendly and stroll-friendly destinations for every day of your holiday.

Mother Ivey’s Bay offers the broadest choice of accommodation options across three touring fields, a tenting field

and our luxury static caravan fleet. All areas are designed to maximise views across the headland whilst maintaining pitch privacy and comfort. Our one dog-free touring field offers accommodation for visitors less confident around our four-legged friends. The whole park is immaculately kept, with well-mown grass, beautiful flowerbeds, rockeries and traditional Cornish walls.North Cornwall abounds with sites of historic and natural interest. The areas nearby have been designated as Sites of Special Scientific Interest because of the rare flora & fauna found here. Walkers and cyclists are spoiled for choice. North Cornwall’s famous Camel Trail winds along the picturesque Camel Estuary linking Padstow to Wenfordbridge via Wadebridge & Bodmin whilst the Cornish Coastal Path passes along the boundary of the Park.

Golfers can enjoy a round on the internationally renowned links course at Trevose Golf Club. The Clubhouse, only 5 minutes walk from the Park, offers a bar and restaurant which is open to the Public throughout the year. Bedruthan Steps is a 5 minute drive away or a stunning day walk and is run by the National Trust. This is one of the most popular destinations on the Cornish coast because of the spectacular cliff-top view of rocks stretching away into the distance across the sweep of Bedruthan beach.

For younger visitors, if a day on the golden sands is not enough, local watersport schools may offer a different perspective of the shoreline – when in Cornwall, do as the locals do and grab your board and head into the surf. Alternatively, children will also enjoy the Crealy Adventure Park, said to be one of Cornwall’s largest attractions and is a must for all the family.

the best site in the south west, plenty of space, large pitches, clean, friendly helpfull staff, well equipped shop and freshly baked bread, cakes, croissants and pasties available daily.
The shower blocks and toilets and wash up areas always spotless. The most amazing thing is the private beach. We have been going there for the last 3 years and have booked for 2014 and will continue for many years to come.
