secure rural setting in secluded mature woodland with excellent facilities north of Hexham only three mile from Hadrians Wall.

This was the first time we went camping and was looking for something close to home we found this site on website and we booked as the prices were reasonable, we arrived on site and was greeted with a great welcome and reception our pitch was nice and the facilities were second to none the kids loved exploring the nature trails behind our pitch and my eldest son loved this as he has ADHD and Autism and this was great for his concentration

Reallly enjoyed our 2night stay at Fallowfield Dene. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the whole site was well planned out.The toilets/washing facilities were second to none, with free hot showers and hairdryers.Extremely clean.
A well placed site for visiting local attractions,Hexham,Hadrians Wall, great walking country and some lovely short walks from the site itself.Set in lovely woodland, great for Badgers,Red Squirrel and Deer.
Would highly recommend.
Practical Motorhome Snail Trail recommended site July 2006
If you are touring this area and looking for a quiet site then Fallowfield Dene is ideal for you. It doesn’t have great provision for children, choosing instead to focus on the serenity of its rural seclusion.
The pitching areas are split nicely by mature trees, which add to the site’s greenery. We were put in the level hardstanding section, which is a good spot for motorhomes, away from the tents which were kept at the top of the park, close to the washrooms.
There was a waste drain, too, but it was too close to the wall to use easily. The washrooms are absolutely immaculate and
a pleasure to use, although check the opening times to ensure that you get your shower before the extended cleaning break. There are 16A hook-ups to the majority of pitches and gas exchange is also available on site.
In terms of location, the site is a short drive from Hexham. If you want to explore on foot, the nearest place worth a visit is the Boatside Inn, which serves enticing evening meals at sensible pub prices. More importantly, though, Hadrian’s Wall is easily accessed from the site, being within a mile of Fallowfield Dene’s entrance.20 Jul 2006
