Wyreside Lakes Fishery is a popular, award winning holiday park found in the heart of Lancashire. The park is open all year round, and is one of the most well-loved campsites in Lancashire, featuring pitches that welcome caravans, motor-homes and tents.

Wyreside Lakes Fishery is set across 120 acres of the most beautiful unspoiled farmland, and offers amazing views of the surrounding area. Serviced pitches can be booked, with electric hook-ups available for those staying at the park in their motor-homes and touring caravans. Laundry and sanitary facilities are on hand in the park for all guests to use.

This campsite is family friendly and welcoming, and in looking to maintain its quiet, tranquil nature and community feel only welcomes families or adult couples onto the site.

There is a children’s play area for little ones to enjoy during the day and into the early evening, while the park’s clubhouse is open at night for them to play games and have fun accompanied by adults. Wyreside Lakes Fishery also has an on-site shop so guests will never run out of holiday essentials, while there is also a brilliant restaurant and bar that will keep you refreshed with the very finest local food and drink. Takeaway food is available too, and the restaurant and bar presents live entertainment throughout the seasonal opening period.

The River Wyre twists through this campsite and offers plenty of fishing opportunities along with Bantons Lake and Fox’s Lake, while there are a great many riverside walks to enjoy and miles of rolling countryside surrounding the site. The park sits close to the boundary of the Forest of Bowland, which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is an incredible place to explore either on foot, horseback or on a bicycle.

Another benefit of Wyreside Lakes Fishery is its proximity to the M6 motorway, which makes it easy to access and gives guests great flexibility in terms of how they spend their time staying at the park. Whether you want to head north towards Cumbria and the iconic Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Park, south towards the cities of Lancashire including Manchester, or take in the stunning coastal resorts of Morecombe and Blackpool, not to mention the abundance of small towns and villages that you’ll find along the coastal roads, there is something for everyone.

Within reach of Wyreside Lakes Fishery are numerous locations where you can enjoy a range of leisure pursuits, including bowling, golf, swimming and quad biking. Many of the Lancashire towns close to the park are home to plenty of cinemas, bars and restaurants, while Blackpool and Manchester are the best places to head if you’re looking for amazing ranges of shops, theaters and even more great experiences in the north west of England. Wyreside is ideal for cyclists, pleasure walkers, birdwatchers and people who generally enjoy nature and the outdoors. You are welcome to use our land to ride your bike but please remember to call ahead to check the status of the ground - weather permitting only - 01524 792093.

We also have maps of circular routes available at reception and cater for walking groups with light refreshments. We have boot scrapers outside the main building so you can scrap all that mud off your boots before entering the building. Your more than welcome to come into the fishermen's restaurant before you set off on your travels for a lovely coffee. Then you can leave from Wyreside or drive to any starting point within a short distance and try the many walks in this beautiful area.

Bird watching is a pastime supported by many and here in Lancashire we are blessed with lots of different species of birds and wildlife. The Forest of Bowland AONB and Arnside & Silverdale AONB are nationally protected landscapes which are beautifully unspoilt and great to explore. They are easily accessible from Wyreside (by car). There is also Leighton Moss RSPB Nature Reserve and the Wildfowl & Wetland Trust at Martin Mere with superb countryside, attractive routes and rugged moorland, you will find that Lancashire is a great place for cycling. Head west for a more costal ride, where you will find a network of rural lanes linking attractive villages. To the east the countryside becomes more rugged, as you climb up to the Bowland and Pennine Hills. You could try Dunsop Bridge for a great family fun bike ride or Gisburn Forest for woodland trails and off-road excitement.

The lancashire cycleway (90) passes near to our entrance - this is a challenging 280 mile cycle tour of the country which offers some outstanding countryside, (including the Bowland hills) and has some steep hills but fantastic descents! Off route is the national cycle route 6 which goes between Lancaster & Preston.

We have a campsite with a modern shower block on site for a quick refreshing overnight stop. You can come for a relaxing walk around the grounds at Wyreside - just bring your car and for a small charge of £1 per day, venture out from here! If you require any local information - such as brochures, maps, walks, cycle routes etc, please ask us at reception for print outs.

Our location means that we are accessible to / from the M6 motorway and the A6. We are:

20 minutes from Morecambe
10 minutes from Lancaster
30 minutes from Blackpool beach, pier and tower
45 minutes from Windermere (lake district)
45 minutes from Hawes (Yorkshire dales)
25 minutes from Dunsop Bridge (trough of Bowland)
