We have just spent a wonderful week at Hendwr and have come back totally chilled out! We normally go camping but for a change decided to stay in a log cabin. Good job we did, as we reckon it was the wettest first week in August on record. This didn't matter though as we all had a fantastic time touring North Wales, as well as climbing Snowdon! The lodge was warm, clean (and dry!) and perfect for our family of 4 - our lodge was the one by the stream and the children spent many hours paddling and playing in the water (even in the rain) - it was great for them to have the freedom to get wet and dirty. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
A thoroughly good time was had by all.

we have just come back 2 days early from our holiday here after staying in one of the sites log cabins.
There were 3 bedrooms sleeping 6 people. the seating consisted of a very small 2 seater couch, and 2 very small chairs covered in throws which had all seen better days!
so only enough seating for 4 people!
the heating consisted of a three bar fire and a few blower heaters dotted around (which ran away with the electric, which was also on a very expensive meter at a pound a
go.)
when we enquired about using the shower in the lodge we were told not to bother as the water pressure wasnt very good and to WALK OVER TO THE CAMPSITE AND USE THEIR SHOWERS.....
on handing the keys back to the site owner he inspected the cabin and decided we had broken the cooker hood which had a lift up lid that had got stuck going down. he then proceeded to withold our deposit!
