Home Farm Camping, Caravanning and Log Cabins park is a gorgeous campsite set in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside. It offers peace and tranquillity to guests who like to spend a little time on the campsite itself for completely relaxing camping, motorhome and caravan holidays.

Home Farm has 30 touring pitches suitable for touring caravans and motorhomes, all of which have electric hook-ups, so you can enjoy all the conveniences of your motorhome and caravan during your stay. There are an additional 10 camping pitches on the site that cater for people camping in their own tents. Pets are very welcome to come along with you when you stay at Home Farm Camping, Caravanning and Log Cabins park.

Hot and cold shower facilities are available on this family-friendly campsite, in addition to a washing up area. The park has badminton nets and football goals on site. All the sports equipment you need is stored by Home Farm’s campsite reception and all guests are free to borrow the kit as they wish. You can also borrow cricket equipment and there is space by the farmhouse to play. Guests staying in the summer can also watch the local village cricket team playing matches close to the park gate.

There is also a selection of luxurious Scandinavian log cabins on site for guests wishing to stay in holiday lodges near York.

This campsite sits close to the banks of the River Ouse, to the south of the historic city of York. There is a smaller section of the River Ouse and a small pond near the campsite, where anglers can enjoy a day of fishing. Barbel, Perch, and Roach are the kinds of fish that guests might typically find in their catch in the waters of the Ouse.

If you’re lucky you might spot otters, a regular sight on the banks of the river close to Home Farm Camping, Caravanning and Log Cabins park. The pond, meanwhile, is home to a family of waterfowl.

Home Farm's owners are passionate about conservation, and as such the campsite is popular with bird watching and wildlife enthusiasts. Birds that can be found in and around the park include the corn and reed bunting, the tree sparrow, and the turtle dove, all of which are listed as birds of conservation concern.

Cattle also roam and graze across the fields of the site, and can easily be spotted outside or keeping warm in the farm barn.

There is plenty to do on and around the farm site, and many guests prefer simply to stay on or close to the site, where they can take in the views of the surrounding meadows or even wander around and help out on the farm.

Horse riding stables are located just half a mile from the Home Farm campsite, while cycling enthusiasts can pick up the local cycling route close by and ride to York or Selby. The bike ride into York is gentle, flat, and will take you past many beautiful sights and into the heart of the city.

Two local villages, Naburn and Stillingfleet, are a mile and a half away from Home Farm Caravan and Camping site, and have a range of local businesses. Both villages offer family-friendly pubs, where you and your children are always welcome to have something to eat and drink.
