Owner's description
Ladram Bay welcomes you to the Jurassic Coast, England's first (and only) natural World Heritage Site. This 95-mile stretch of the Dorset and East Devon Coast, from Exmouth in the west to Studland in the east, has now been recognised as one of the wonders of the natural world - on account of the unique complete record it displays of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods of Earths history (over 185 million years!). Here at Ladram, the impressive red sandstone cliffs and sea stacks are formed from deposits laid down in hot, dry desert conditions 225 million years ago.

Up to overviewIn a quiet, unspoiled corner of South East Devon, where rolling hills meet red sandstone cliffs, lies Ladram Bay Holiday Centre. Well established and family owned, here is the ideal base for a perfect get-away-from-it-all holiday.
Our private beach, just a few minutes stroll from your holiday home, has clean, sea-washed pebbles with sand and rock pools at low tide. The sheltered bay is great for safe bathing and all water sports from fishing to wind surfing - bring your own boat or hire one from the beach. Sorry - no jet skis allowed.
The beautiful coastline is unsurpassed for walking, painting, geology, fitness training (you can run up the hills?). Look out for special 'theme' weekends, or how about bringing your own club or group to Ladram Bay for a great holiday enjoying your favourite pastimes with friends.
A pleasant half hour ramble through farmland takes you into the nearby thatched village of Otterton, or if you're feeling more energetic, a few miles in either direction along the heritage coastal paths will take you to the traditional and uncommercialised towns of Sidmouth or Budleigh Salterton. A short drive in your car will get you to a wide range of interesting places and attractions - full details are available in reception.
There is a superb shopping and amusements complex and a launderette. The indoor heated swimming pool (supervised at all times), games room, 10 pin bowling, crazy golf course, pool room plus free family entertainment every day of the week during the high season, complete the ingredients to help you and your children enjoy a happy, care-free holiday here at Ladram Bay.

This was the 2nd time we'd been to Ladram Bay - I've never returned to a holiday park before but it was so good we just had to go back! There is something for everyone at this location so it pleased all of our crowd (myself, my fiance, his parents & our 3 children). The views are stunning and the cliff top walks are amazing. The kids loved the beach as there are rock pools and the waves are good, but be careful in the sea as it's cloudy and you can't see the many rocks below so it can be dangerous. There was also a huge amount of sea weed this year which wasn't there last year, but that's just one of those things & also affected other beaches nearby. But the park was always spotlessly clean, the pool is great, the entertainment at night is of a really good standard, the adventure playground is great, can't fault any of it really. Beware though of the air con in the restaurant which can make it chilly but the food was fab! The caravans were fantastic too - we were lucky enough to have deluxe one this year and sitting on the balcony with a sea view listening to the waves was heaven. But even last year when we booked the standard option it was much better than we'd anticipated. Ignore people who say its noisy - what do they expect when people are on holiday?! The evenings are light and unlike most of the year where you are at work/school and go to bed early, you are on holiday and meant to be there to have fun! The best thing to do is take a pair of ear plugs and chill out, as you will get noise in most parks.
