Practical Caravan Top 100 parks Award 2007

Located between East Dorset and Hampshire, this site,
set within 47 acres of farmland, is a little jewel. It has just 35 spacious pitches separated by shrubs and flowerbeds, and each pitch has its own water
and electricity supply. The quality, cleanliness and maintenance of this site is
about as high as it gets.
Although there is no shop on site there is a large local store one mile away and a local pub that serves superb pub grub. On the western edge of the New Forest, the site is only two miles from the old market town of Fordingbridge. Poole, Bournemouth and Christchurch are all close by with their lovely beaches, harbours and nightlife. Street markets can be found in Salisbury on Tuesdays, Ringwood on Wednesdays and Wimborne on Fridays. You will need to book early for a pitch in high season.

Practical Caravans Top 100 Parks Awards 2006

As part of a working farm, this site offers a range of country pursuits, including horse riding and coarse fishing. And the surrounding landscape is ideal for those who enjoy walking. It is criss-crossed by footpaths, one of which leads to a pub, a mile away, which serves excellent food. There’s no on-site shop, which means walking or driving to the small supermarket near the pub.
Close to the site, there are plenty of places to visit for interesting days out. One of the country’s few remaining water mills, Alderholt Mill, is less than half a mile from the site. The ancient market town of Romsey is just four miles away, while historic Winchester, the former capital of England, is also nearby. The awe-inspiring monoliths of Stonehenge and Avebury are within a stone’s throw. For seaside fun you can visit the sandy beaches of Poole, Bournemouth and the Jurassic Coast. There is also easy access to the New Forest.
Even though Hill Cottage Farm Touring Park is set on a working farm, all the facilities are kept scrupulously clean and the site is very peaceful.
