What a joy. Well managed fantastic and friendly site, Great facilities, toilet /showerareas have piped music and the decor has to be seen to be believed.
Beautifully landscaped park. Security and cleanliness are paramount. The added bonus? NO children. Possibly the best site we have visited. We will have no hesitation in returning next season.
Thankyou for a peaceful stay.

Totally agree with other reviewers a superb site. Easy access from the M4. All pitches are spacious with a grass area to the side with 16 amp hook-up and half are all service pitches.

The toilet & shower block is the best we have ever seen no wonder it has won 'loo of the year' awards. Lots of little extras are supplied e.g. aftershave and always spotlessly clean. The only thing I was not to keen on was the 'piped music' but that is just a personally view and hey who cares!

Arrival at the site is a pleasant experience and Roger even reversed our caravan onto the pitch for us which was very nice after a long journey. Also this site has a security barrier with card entry (£10 deposit which is returned on leaving), which is not common on UK sites and should be, other sites please note.

Nice pub The Plough Inn across the dual carriage way which we would recommend and there is a lot to see and do in the area. We are keen cyclists and would recommend the Kennet & Avon Canal, Caen Hill locks are simply amazing.

Yes there is road noise from the dual carriage way but we did not find it obtrusive.

This is a very pretty, clean and well-run site. The toilet facilities are top class. Although the people on the site were very polite and quiet, we found the traffic-noise from the nearby dual carriageway to be noticeable and quite intrusive. We also had an elderly dog with us and had quite a almost the longest walk to the dog walk - not where we would have pitched had we been given any choice. Others may find our niggles rather trivial.

This is positively the best caravan park in england that we have ever stayed at. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly owners and showed to our pitch. The toilet facilities are first class and spotlessly clean

Practical Motorhome independent site reviews Nov 2006

You won’t be surprised to learn that one of the owners of this adults-only site trained as a landscape gardener: the site boasts abundant borders and well-tended hedges. Even the washblock could win prizes, with its floral displays and range of toiletries and magazines laid out for all to use. The owners, Roger and Helen Wilding, are keen to make everyone’s stay a treat.
The site is small and intimate, and can easily be found just a few minutes from junction 17 of the M4, near the south Cotswold town of Chippenham. Despite being conveniently close to the motorway, it really is a quiet location, and ideal for couples who want to leave the hustle and bustle behind. The small size also adds to the friendly atmosphere, and the owners are never far away if you need assistance.
Reception provides a wide range of tourist-information leaflets
with details of activities available nearby, such as fishing, golf, horse riding and sailing. Although there is no shop on site, you’ll find a large supermarket with a café about a mile away. If you fancy dining out in the evening, several pubs and restaurants are within
a short drive of the site. Dogs on leads are welcome, and two are allowed per pitch.

This is a very pleasant adults-only site situated a few minutes from junction 17 of the M4, near the south Cotswold town of Chippenham. Excellent signposting and good roads lead to a security barrier with enough space to stop for booking in.

Pleasant shrub-lined roads lead to level, clearly numbered pitches, all with electric hook-up and divided by well-tended grass or pleasant flower beds. The owners, Roger and Helen Wilding, are friendly and keen to make everyone’s stay enjoyable.

Plough Lane is a small site with fewer than 50 pitches in total, and around six separate areas for tourers. Dogs are welcome on leads and you can bring two per unit. The washing facilities are among some of the cleanest we visited, with a range of flowers and plants, magazines, soaps and hand creams for use. Full facilities for disabled visitors are available. The laundry room is also spotless, with one commercial washing machine, tumble dryer and spin dryer, and an iron and ironing board.

In the office an excellent selection of tourist information leaflets are provided, detailing a comprehensive selection of activities available nearby, such as fishing, golf, horseriding and sailing. There is no shop on site but a large supermarket with a café is about a mile away. If you fancy dining out in the evening, several pubs and restaurants are within a short drive from the site.

The flat charge of £12 per night all season includes everything – awning, hook-up and so on – with no additional charge for anything but laundry facilities.
