Laneside Caravan Park

Season March - November

Owner's description

Laneside Caravan Park is located in the heart of the Peak Park Conservation Area; an area of outstand natural beauty protected from commercialism. The park is located at the foot of the Hope Valley surrounded on all sides by hill and riverside footpaths. The landscape around the park will keep you comming back again and again with the Win and Loose hills and the Dark Peak to the north. Face south and you'll be looking over the rolling hills of the White Peak.

Cross the river that makes up one border of the site and you have arrived in Hope Village. Here you'll find everything you can need including a Spar shop, Post Office / newsagents, delicatessen / bakery, butchers & Farm Shop, Bike hire and speciality shops. The village also offers 4 pubs to choose from, a Chinese and Indian restaurant, Old Hall Tea rooms, the Hikers Cafe and more!

We take pride in maintaining a high standard of housekeeping with well maintained grounds and buildings. The landscape within the park has been carfully planned with mature trees, shrubs and hedges separating the main areas. We welcome families, quiet couples and their well behaved pets.

We have stayed at this camp site twice, it is friendly and the facilities are very good. The showers are hot and very clean the washing area and toilets also. It is very close to the village of Hope and the views are fantastic. Going to the loo late at night is not a problem as it is well lit. this site is a secret I would like to keep as it is not always easy to get on. But could not deny such an experiance to all lovers of the great outdoors. Its a must !

Practical Motorhome Snail Trail recommended park Oct 2006

Nestled in the Hope Valley beneath the fells of the Peak Park Conservation Area, Laneside is a rural site with wonderful views but not cut off from amenities: the adjacent villages of Hope and Castleton are well served for shops and eateries. Laneside mixes motorhomes, caravans and tents with no particular designated areas and in fairly close proximity when busy. The lucky few get riverside pitches. The two fields here are mostly flat with a gentle slope at worst and the site is accessible for people using mobility aids. Overall, the site is tidily maintained.
The age range is wide and the atmosphere relaxed. Families make up the majority at weekends, but it’s not unduly noisy. A scenic, practical and popular park.
