Had a brilliant time at Conwy Touring Park for the fireworks weekend! We come every year and it just gets better and better. The kids love it because the park is always busy and we meet up with the same families every time. The toilets and showers are always clean, the pitches are nice and big and you are not cramped right next to anyone else. Checking in the same as always, very quick and efficient. All in all a great weekend, and the fireworks really were spectacular!

Had a lovely holiday here with all the family. Came in a group - total of 3 pitches altogether. We managed to get in this little cul de sac which worked really well for us. The pitches were nice and large, staff very friendly and helpful - they printed off a map, some directions for us and researched some areas for us to go. Toilets were always clean and the site seemed well looked after in general! There really are some beautiful views from the site as well. Lovely park!

Stayed here for a week at the start of September, it was really nice and peaceful. The site is very big and because it was quiet we asked to be in an area without other campers. We had a large pitch- big enough for our caravan, awning and two cars- so plenty of space. Checking in was quick and efficient and we were told that if we had any problems just to ring down or pop back in. Toilets and showers were always perfectly clean and the site really is well maintained. Coming again for their firework weekend, would recommend this campsite!

Brilliant week at Conwy, the site was just what we were looking for. It was in a great location (about a mile or so out of Conwy) but still with lovely countryside views. The site is well maintained, we had no problems and the showers and toilets were always clean. Lovely site for children with lots to do, and we have a fantastic experience here!

This is a great family site, I honestly do not understand where some of these reviews have come from. We stayed over the bank holiday, it was jam packed and the toilets were still cleaned regularly. The staff were all very helpful, check in was quick and efficient. When you get there they give you a map of the site (which has a list of contact numbers for doctors, vets, taxis etc on the back). It is easy to find your pitch as the whole place is sign posted. The site is very large and can take a bit of time to get from one side of the camp to the other. Views were brilliant, the only thing it missed was a little shop for bread and milk!

Just travelled back from our stay over the bank holiday weekend. The campsite was packed but checking in was quick and easy, the receptionists were very polite and helpful. Even though it was heaving the pitches were still spaced out and we didn’t feel cramped, toilets and showers were cleaned throughout the stay and we had no problems! The only down side was a group of other campers being disrespectful – loud music and shouting across the pitches too each other. However, security were there v.quickly and it was dealt with efficiently (they had to leave the site as far as I gathered). Thought the park dealt with the situation brilliantly. Thinking of storing our caravan here, would definitely be happy to come again!

We have just got home from here, had a great stay with the family. Really helpful staff, clean facilities, and loads to do in Conwy. We look for good value places to stay and as the prices is per pitch and not per person and dog etc it works out at a really great price for us (two adults four kids!) We were close to the park but managed to get a really good spot so that people weren’t constantly walking past our tent. Just a shame the weather wasn’t great, looks like we missed all the sun!

We came to this campsite with another couple, and had an excellent time. We asked to be in adjoining pitches and managed to get in an area just the two of us (which was really very nice). Toilets cleaned a few times a day, and if there were any problems you can just pop down to reception and speak to the girls there- they were very helpful and accomodating (printed off some maps of llandudno for us with directions). All in all had a lovely stay, thank you!

Me and my wife had a lovely time here, the bad reviews are very misleading (or at least were for when we stayed). We had great views over looking the river, and we were in the clubhouse every night - there was a nice atmosphere and we met some lovely people. Me and my wife look for good locations, non-crowded areas and clean facilities. We will be back again!

We have just got back from out stay at Conwy Touring Park, as a couple we are quite picky with what we want but apart from a couple minor details, we really did have a lovely stay! It was quiet and peaceful (and we asked to be in a area where there wasnt many others). We had a nice large pitch with a really beautiful view. It is quite a distance to walk from one end of the campsite to the other (to get to the clubhouse!) but to be honest we really didn't mind as the weather was lovely for us. No complaints about the actual site facilities however it would be nice to have a shop on site! All the staff were very helpful and theres lots of leaflets in the reception with info on days out! Thanks!

the owner of this park was very rude and drunk, he urinated in front of my little girls and told them to f--- off, we are taking him to court.when i confronted him, he said if i didnt like him or his attitude he would throw us off the camp/caravan site. we had to have cold showers and the toilets were blocked. i will never come here again. we are very poor and saved up for months for our camping holiday. has anyone else had problems with the owner, i think his name was nobread

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with my young family- the play area in the clubhouse was a lot bigger than I expected! Girls on reception were also very nice and helpful, very quick process of checking in- and I have no complaints about the park or the location - Conwy town is absolutely brilliant, take a walk around the castle walls!

This is an excellent site and I would DEFINATELY recommend to everyone. Loads of walks onsite. 2 parks. Pub. Indoor play area. Close to everywhere. The staff and Manager are always helpful. There are keycodes on the gates for added safety. Clean toilets and showers. Regularly checked. Plenty of space for ur tent/caravan not to b too close to others. Beer Fest and VW Fest were fantastic. Plenty to do. Lots of entertainment. Cant wait for our next stay.
Excellent Beer and VW Fest's. Really impressed with all thats included. Plenty to do. Good entertainment. Reasonably priced bar.

Just got back from our stay here. It was exactly what we needed! Great value for money which is ideal for our family. The clubhouse has a indoor play area for the kids and was open throughout our stay- however I do believe it is not open every night the whole season. There were plenty of other families around to keep my children occupied! The girls on reception were lovely and very helpful, they gave us bus timetables (the bus stop is literally at the bottom of the driveway) and taxi numbers to get into Conwy. They also recommended a few locations such as Conwy Water Gardens (great for the family) as well as the best beaches. In an ideal location, can walk into Conwy and it is only a 15 minute drive to the lovely town of Llandudno. There isn't a shop on site but a 5 minute walk to the nearest local corner shop. The site is huge, with lots of views, had no problems with the toilet and shower facilities, which I was pleased about as I had heard some lukewarm reviews, they were clean and did the job! Have to note the maintenance came and helped us when we had a problem with the electric in our caravan and were very accommodating, it was nice for them to take the time out to help us! Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and the price was brilliant! Thanks!

Though in a beautiful location, this site is ruined by it's vermin problem. Having camped several times here with family (albeit in a camper van), I had booked with the touring park so that myself and my other half could enjoy the surrounding locations and views. However upon returning to our tent on the second night, we found that either a rat or squirrel had ripped through our tent and proceeded to leave droppings and spread food throughout the tent. This food had been within a sealed container, but my other half's beauty products were ripped apart too. Upon discovering the damage, I proceeded in attempting to contact the site to no avail. The mobile number was even turned off after the person responsible for it tired of my calling.

Come the next morning, we were able to survey the damage to the tent to a better extent, and contacted the site via the reception. They in turn sent the site security to us, who explained that the owner of the touring park wouldn't offer any form of compensation as they believed it to be the local 'wildlife'. No explaination was offered as to why no one was available when we discovered the issue and I was expected to merely pack up and leave.

Short Version: The vermin within Conwy Touring Park are out of hand and are liable to destroy your tent should they be unable to access the inside. Unless your in a caravan, do not stay here.

We have been going to Conwy touring park for nearly seven years now, it is what it is cheap and basic but central for days out, so we decided to put our caravan there, in storage and for the season, one week my son misplaced our set of keys so we had to get the spare set from reception, not a problem at all. the following week i went up but my husband had the main set in his car, so i had to ask again for the spare set, with out doubt the following two days where the most distressing days i have every had, i was spoken to by a rude man who told me i could not have my spare set of keys, i was to go home and could not use my caravan and that he was terminating the contract and to take my caravan away, my husband and myself returned two days later to collect our van to be told we could not have it,at the same time there was another family there with a small baby having the same issue with keys, we where all kept waiting while a man had been called in on his day of to sort things out. as the ruse man would not come up face to face. In a nut shell i would never recommend this sight to anyone and if you go do not have any dealings with the owner he has not people skills at all.

just spent a second time at this site weekend off 19th july 2013 and i must say this is one off the best sites i have vistited for views, size off pitch, friendly staff, helpful, well spaced out not on top off each other, great open walks, very realistic prices per night, had a few drinks on the patio outside the on site bar very polite staff, looking out over open countryside, the site its self is very clean ( lost count how many times we saw 2 litter pickers walking round ) the toilets are well spaced and plenty of them also well cleaned and dry, allin all this site is a little gem, we believe havinf now visted twice this season and will be returning yet again .. many thnaks to staff and owners conwy touring park.

Review by: Rhodescouple    Reviewer's Profile      Date of visit:  May 2012     Unit used: Touring Caravan

Our family has had a seasonal touring pitch on the site for the 2012 season. We picked the site as we had camped there in previous years and it's very accessible from where we live. The site is beautifully located and the park itself is very well laid out.
We are very reasonable and accepting people who have real expectations i.e we don't always expect the showers to be hot every time. We had a lovely pitch for the season with plenty of space for the children to play and being south facing, when thhhe sun was out we had the best of it. HHowever that is where the positive points finish.

The site is badly managed in our opinion. All the showering/wash facilities are in dire need of renovation and improvement. They are kept clean but frequently there is no hot water in the showers or if there is it's too hot to stand under. No good when you have chldren and to be honest no good when you are an adult just wanting the simplicity of a warm shower. We tried pretty much all of the blocks on the site but they were all the same. This was not just our opinion but the opinion of almost everybody we spoke to during our seven months there. We spoke with reception and the owner and to be frank there attitude was just accept it. That is not really what you are looking for when you have paid £1600 for the season.

The pub and play area are very poor and once again in dire need of modernisation. With two young children the play area was very appealing for us. HHowever the reality is that it's tired, dirty, unsafe and a let down. It's such a shame as with just some money spent on it it could be great. For example there is a fantastic little lego table for thhe children to sit round and play with the lego. The problem???? for the entire season there was seven pieces of lego for the kids to play with. It became very frustrating for us and thhe kids that in the end we just stopped going.

The worst bit for us was the bins. There are several skips located around the site. These were frequently full throughout the season and were often unsightly. The skip closest to our pitch was full at thhe end of september. It was still full four weeks later and the accumlated rubbish for that four week period was just dumped on the ground. The sight was disgusting and was a public health hazard. Once again we complained but it fell on deaf ears.

I have never been so relieved to leave a site but We did leave with a sense of pity. Such a beautiful site in a beautiful location but all this was spoilt by factors which should have been managed quite easily.

Would I recommend it for seasonal tourers? No. Would I recommend for family's?? No. Would I recommend it for a group of men who just wanted somewhere to camp and that's it?? Yes.

Last visited this park about 15 years ago with our 2 kids who are now grown up. Had the chance to return with our 3 year old grand daughter. OMG what a tip. The site looks lovely from the road but once we had booked in and found our pitch, it was horrible. The pitch itself hadn't been checked and had broken plastic all over it and an old bath mat had been left on it. The van opposite us was green on the roof ( although very nice chap n dog were in it)
The toilets looked just as they did all those years ago. No updating here and no soap or dryers either. Rubbish was just overflowing out of the giant skips dotted about here and there!
We didn't even try to complain. So horrified we just found the nearest caravan club site and rejoined. The lady at Betswe y Coed site said we were the 6th couple to do the same this year. We left after the first night without even trying to get our money back.

We had booked two hard standing caravan pitches for the summer bank holiday weekend. The pitches that we were allocated at the time of booking were in the Green Zone next to each other.
On arrival we found that they had booked us on a pitch in the Green Zone and our friends on a pitch in the Red Zone. These pitches are literally a car drive away from each other. My four year old daughter would not have been capable of walking up the steep hill between the pitches. The reception staff agreed to relocate us to the Red Zone, telling us that our pitch would be opposite our friends. The two pitches were in adjacent fields at an approximate distance of 200 yards from each other!!!
The pitch that our friends had was waterlogged and to their dismay had a pile of dog faeces on it. Our pitch was very difficult to get to due to the mud, when we finally got the caravan onto the pitch; it was literally like a swamp. Totally unsuitable for tents or caravans. We decided that we could not stay in this location and returned to the reception to complain.
The response that we were greeted with at the reception was absolutely awful. We were blamed for their error in the booking process. We told them that the pitches that they had given us were not what we had requested and we were leaving the site and we wanted a refund. We were told that the sites policy is not to give refunds, which in some cases is understandable but not when they are at fault. After several minutes of a very nonsensical argument they agreed to refund us, but only the £30 that we had paid on arrival and not the £40 deposit we had paid when we booked. We asked to speak to the owner or manager and were told that there wasn’t anybody on site that we could escalate the complaint to. This in its self is unacceptable on such a large site on a bank holiday weekend.
I can not speak for the whole site but the RED ZONE is what I would consider to be an overflow area that due to the adverse weather (obviously not the sites fault) was not suitable for camping or caravanning. The attitude of the staff is very dismissive and rude. I would never recommend this site to anyone and would never entertain the idea of staying there.

The site needs a lot of updating. We didn't get warm water in the showers for the two weeks we were there, in spite of asking at reception. They were not very clean either. The roads are very potholed. We have stayed before due to the great area but each year no improvements have been made so very run down.Such a shame because it could be so wonderful.O.K. if you just need somewhere to pitch up, but that is all.

What can I say? me and the family had a wonderful time at Conwy Touring Park.

Some of the most sceenic views I've ever seen and lovely private enclosed camping areas.

There's a great playground where the kids can let off some steam and a lovely pub for a quiet drink.

Cony Castle and town is just round the corner, and we had a lovely day out!

Clean, modern toilets and service with a smile. We've booked again this year!

I’d love to recommend Conwy Touring Park- probably the best site we have ever been on.

Positives:
Huge pitches with electric hook up on most.
Big site, but pitches are grouped together surrounded by hedges and trees. Colour coded so you can easily find your way home!
Very clean toilet blocks. The views and walks from top of site are breathtaking. There are plenty of spectacular views (including the beautiful Conwy Estuary) and safe, fun playgrounds for the kids and I'd happily recommend it to anyone and we'll probably return.

No negatives!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay and i must say we were quite disappointed with the campsite. We were touring in our caravan for the first time ever and we got situated up a very steep hill and we got stuck, the wheels were spinning but we weren't moving so we had to reverse down and we did manage to get up on the second attempt (purple section).

The park is miles away so the kids didn't have anything to do apart from climb up dirty walls. Toilets are nice and clean but for some reason dont have hand soap. There isn't even the empty dispensers, so take your own hand wash. We were lucky and went with 4 other families so the kids entertained themselves. I wont be returning to this site but I'm sure some people would really like it. Not suitable for small children but maybe older children like 12 years and over.

Sell part of your pitch to other campers, so even though you had paid extra your are unable park on your pitch. Toilets leaked into entrance, showers often cold, no recycling, skips for rubbish attacked by animals and left for days. Noisy site. Watch your property, keep everything locked up - no security and the site don't care. No customer service, they just take your money and you are never able to get through on the phone just an awful mans voice saying "it's a great day at conway touring park"!!!

This site is very spacious and leafy, well spaced out. The toilet/shower facilities are well placed however cold each morning. My main problem was security having had a solar panel stolen from our pitch, this is disheartening and disconcerting to find people staying around you have such low morals.

My wife, dog & I liked this site. Unfortunately at the time, the showers weren't working. This was before we bought our caravan, so we relied on the site showers! On informing the staff we were going to leave early, they didn't appear at all concerned as to why! We didn't get offered our money back either! We ended up staying just up the road, but we did come back to the site bar as they do food as well!

Hi,
Bear with me this is my first review.
We have use this site for the last three years, and with a family with three children we found this site great. There is at least one outdoor playarea and a clubhouse which also has an indoor playarea and one for the older children with things such as snooker tables. The toliets & showers have always been clean. The staff always helpful. Will hopefully be using again this year as the children love it.
