What a beautiful place.
Nice area, very close to Caernarfon. You wouldn't know it was there as it is secluded and hidden away. Plenty to do on the park, plenty to see... Lots of lovely walks.,Family owned so not too expensive . Lots of facilities, caravans are nicely set apart within landscaped grounds and very reasonably priced. Site fees are between £2700 and £2900 so great value for money. Just ordered our caravan. No need to look anywhere else as this is the best park by far, compared to other local ones.

Homework is vital when it comes to choosing the right holiday park. I have spent alot of time looking at parks in North Wales, to be given the usual sales pitches and being told that this years site fees are free etc...Rubbish...nothing is free... However, we visited Glan Gwna and everything we saw was on our wish list. We chose the plot of our choice, the caravan and decided on our budget - with the assistance from the park. I felt totally happy with the whole process and relaxed, unlike when i visited other local parks and got the usual verbal rubbish about 'you must choose this caravan on this pitch' etc... Not at Glan Gwna !
The reviews i read on this site and Tripadvisor are great and i can only say that it is a pleasure to be part of a family owned and run holiday park, who are hands on and honest. I have now made a purchase at Glan Gwna and have absolute praise for all the team. Well done Glan Gwna, i'm looking forward to many happy years with you.

We recently purchased a static caravan on Glan Gwna after viewing one displayed at The Cheshire Agricultural Show in July 2012. Simon arranged to meet us on site. He drove us around the Park and then gave us a list of caravans for Sale and a map of the available locations. He then left us to it. There was no pressure or persuasion to buy anything at all. We spent all day looking around, borrowing keys, asking questions, generally pestering. Nothing was too much trouble. Eventually we chose a plot and a caravan and we shook Simons hand. Two weeks later we had a phone call to say everything was ready. We have never looked back. Having spent some time getting the garden as we want it and a verandah built, we are now ready to enjoy the beauty of the Park. Throughout the whole process, all of the Glan Gwna staff, especially the ground staff and maintenance team have been an amazing help. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of buying a static caravan to pay a visit to Glan Gwna.

We bought on Glan Gwna and are delighted we did. Simon dealt with us and the whole process was a credit to him and the park. We love the site it's relaxing and quiet after the working week we find we are chilled about a minute after getting there! as keen walkers we couldn't ask for a better base with wonderful walks on the doorstep, a real gem this park

We’ve recently purchased a Static at this site having reviewed the area extensively, importantly for us its an easy sub two hour drive from Cheshire. Its a great family location, with facilities that are appealing to our two young sons. Glan Gwna has a nice balance between nature and facilities. There is nice river running through the park with mature woodland. Facilities include the 'Pool Side Bar' which has provided entertainment to keep the little fellows occupied and we have made some good friends. This is a family run site, an important consideration for us as we sensed more commitment to our requests. Location is excellent and we enjoyed our first walk up Snowdon mountain which is only 20-30 minutes drive, whilst its worth trying the beach located near Caernarfon airport.

We recently stayed here for a week and i was amazed at how beautiful and peaceful it was.The area is surrounded by trees and plenty of wildlife. The park is clean, staff are very polite and helpful and there is a gorgeous river that runs through the park. There is a place to get pizza, a clean well maintained swimming pool and an amusement arcade along with a laundrette, phone box and a shop that sells the basics. We were also near enough to Snowdonia and lots of other attractions such as the Welsh Mountain Zoo. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

Quite simply we can't speak highly enough of Glan Gwna which without doubt ticks all the boxes.

We purchased our caravan in October 2010 & from the outset were immediatly struck by the management & staff who are both extemely helpful and warm in their welcome. The site itself is immacuately presented with well tended laws, a picture postcode river snaking it's way through the park and a lake bordered by stilted holiday homes.

I would rate Glan Gwna as good a caravan park as you are likely to find anywhere.

The only down side is that it has to close for 8 weeks.

We have owned a caravan at Glan Gwna for 11 years. It is a beautifully kept site. In a wonderful river side setting. That is constantly being improved and updated by the owners. The family that own the site are very helpful and attentive to the residents needs. All caravans have their own private garden area in addition to the acres of communal space.Which include woodland and riverside walks.
The only down side is the 8 weeks we can't go in the closed season. Looking forward to getting back on the 1st March, for another great year at Glan Gwna.

5 Feb 2011: beverleymakka from Nantwich Cheshire reviewed Glan Gwna Country Holiday Park

I first visited Glan Gwna in September 09 to check out a few sites in Wales with a view to buying. This was last on the list of 3 I had narrowed down and it won hands down. When I initially drove into the park I noticed how well kept it was. It is a large park but the way it is set out you would not think this as each caravan has its own space /plot to do with as you please. Parking is not included in the plot like some sites but outside the caravan so plenty of room for one or two seating/ bbq decking areas.Initially I purchased my caravan away from the river but a month later I was drawn to a fabulous plot on the riverside which is the best thing I ever did.
The management are extremely friendly and enjoy a laugh and are so approachable. Facilities are very good and the site fees have been kept low thankfully in comparison to less equipped sites.I can't wait for the site to reopen in March as this will be my second season here and I love it. I purchased alone but everyone is so friendly and makes you feel very welcome, my neighbours are fantastic so what could be better than a wonderful retreat in less than two hours. Well done G.G keep up the good work and I hope to be here for many many years to come.Cant recommend enough. Ps my dog absolutely loves it too. Bev

We have owned a caravan on Glan Gwna for over 3 years now and we absolutely love it there. We viewed a couple of sites before choosing Glan Gwna but once we'd been there it was the obvious choice to buy a caravan on there. It's a clean, well ran, friendly, family business and has a very relaxing feeling about it. The plots are spacious, not like some we viewed where the plots are small and you feel squashed in. The grounds are kept immaculate and the riverside walks/views are breathtaking - something i will never grow tired of. The kids love it there, they love the walks, the park, the club house, the swimming pool, feeding the ducks by the fishing lake - i think they'd happily live there if they could !!! We love to get away to our caravan at every opportunity as it's lovely to get away and relax in the beautiful surroundings and switch off from the everyday stuff. I would definately recommend this site to anyone.

31 Jan 2011: Lakeside Lodge from Wirral reviewed Glan Gwna Country Holiday Park

We first visited Glan Gwna on recommendation in 2001,and stayed in one of the timber/slate cabins next to the river. We fell in love with it from the moment we arrived. Within 20 minutes we were totally relaxed and went out to explore the site, everybody was friendly and helpful the site was clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was there or within easy reach. This was to be the first of our annual holidays at Glan Gwna.
In June 2009 while on holiday, we decided to buy one of the cabins that sits at the side of the fish stocked lake. The tranqile estate is family owned and ran, we found them to be very approachable helpful and friendly. Glan Gwna is not just a beautifull estate in the Snowdon National Park, it offers extremly good value on their sale or rental accomodation. We love North Wales and the many attractions it has to offer. Whatever you want from your holiday, you will get it from Glan Gwna.

Stayed at this location with a friend, and really enjoyed the experience. A fantastic base for exploring Snowdonia.
The park itself is set in a tranquil location and I really appreciated the peace and quiet. An added bonus was a river running through the park, which on a hot day was a blessing. The owners had just finished building a new children’s play area which the kids enjoyed immensely.
After my stay I will be talking to the owners with a view to making a purchase.

Stay at home to carry on with the washing, ironing, cooking etc. or go to GG to relax. Off down the A55 it is then! Go for a walk around the park, sit outside the caravan, read, have a barbecue and a few drinks and do very little else. Glan Gwna wins hands down!

28 Jan 2011: poshservices from Merseyside reviewed Glan Gwna Country Holiday Park

We have owned a caravan at Glan Gwna for a number of years and have loved the place from the outset. The first thing you notice is that the park is not laid out in rows of regimental caravans. There are several distinct areas of the site and each plot has its own space to make yours just as you want it. There is a fishing lake and the river runs through the park. The scenery is breathtaking and relaxing. Facilities include a swimming pool and a lounge/family bar but unlike some of the larger corporate names who own several parks, Glan Gwna retains its individuality and is family owned.
The location is prime for easy access to shops, pubs & restaurants as well as historical places of interest. A great place to relax.

If you want a well run, honest Caravan Park then look no further than Glan Gwna. In a beautiful setting we look forward to going as many times as we can each year. The owners could'nt be more helpful and we consider them our friends. The site fees are also well priced. We visited many sites but fell in love with Glan Gwna. Our Son, daughter in law and 3 grandchildren can't wait to go each year aswell.

I have spent alot of hard hours looking through literature and obtaining advice on caravan ownership. I visited Kelletts in Towyn and they kindly assisgted me and gave me a choice of park to look around. When I visited Glan Gwna I realised that I had potentially found the answer. I spent a few hours looking around and eventually found both the plot and caravan of my choice. A great service was given and I made all the decisions according to my requirements. I have spenft a few weekends there and can not wait to to go back. I am very pleased with the park and rate it highly.

I have been looking to buy a caravan and have come across Glan Gwna. I have now ordered one and can't wait to be there. What a great & unique place. Very different from most parks, relaxed and very friendly. Well worth a visit. I have spend the last 2 years visiting other parks with a view to buying and it was well worth the wait.

Very pleased and would reccommend to all. We bought a new holiday home and were pleasantly surprised on how competative the price was. The site fees are also priced right.

I have the pleasure to say at Glan Gwna several times over the last few years with a friend . The staff have been very helpful and even helped us arrange a day trip to Ireland which was fantastic, the coach picked us up at reception and then we were on our way. The camp is set in the most beautiful suroundings with many walks. At night we walked to the bar for a drink and a snack. I love it there and cannot fault it.... Well done Glan Gwna.

I've recently purchased a caravan on Glan Gwna and would like to thank the park for the way in which they conducted the sale. Professional, polite, but also straight. The setting is fantastic, the plots are unique and the price is right. The park is a credit to the owners and the way in which it is managed.
