Very clean if not clinical campsite situated next to a purrpose built country park in Chesterfield. We were initially disappointed when we arrived as we realised the park was located within an industrial site and it was very open and blowing a gale!
The facilities are immaculate even though with a caravan we didn't use them often. However, the absolute gem of the site is the little country park 2 mins away, with a lovely play area (5yrs+?), lake and fantastic cafe with very friendly staff. Delicious food served overlooking the play area and lake and a full breakfast for £3.50!
Although I would say the campsite is not particularly child friendly, the park easily makes up for it. Good location for the Peaks.
