The campsite is open from early April to early November every year, and is a family friendly and dog friendly park welcoming non-members as well as members of the Caravan Club. The site has 138 pitches in total, mainly accommodating caravans and motorhomes, but there are also six pitches suitable for tents. This campsite in Gloucestershire has a range of facilities available for guests to use during their stay, including a laundrette, chemical waste disposal points, a dog walking area and Wi-Fi. This park is less than half a mile from Tewkesbury town centre, making the town easy to reach on foot, and the campsite has nice views of Tewkesbury Abbey. Mature woodland surrounds the park and offers shelter in both the summer and the winter, while the adjacent Vineyards woodland is a pretty place to spend time.

Guests wanting to leave the campsite for the day to go and explore Tewkesbury will find plenty to see and do. In addition to the famous Abbey, which was built in the 12th century, there are many old buildings featuring wooden framing and other special features, while museums give guests a picture of the history of the area and why Tewkesbury is culturally significant.

Another popular feature of the town is the open air market, which is held on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Wander round the stalls and pick up some lovely, local produce – and maybe the odd bargain, too.

There are also plenty of places in Tewkesbury where you can grab a bite to eat and a drink, so you can enjoy time away from the kitchen and there is no need to squabble about the washing up!

While visiting Tewkesbury, you might like to take a river tour on the Avon, viewing the area from a memorable perspective. Boat cruises and self-drive boats are both available.

The Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is close by if you're staying at this Caravan Club campsite – and it really will take your breath away. With lots of foothpaths and cycle trails, it's a super area to explore on two wheels or two feet, with routes for all abilities.

Also in this area is the city of Worcester. It's about a half hour drive from Tewkesbury Abbey Caravan Club Site and boasts an impressive cathedral which, like Tewkesbury Abbey, dates from the 12th century. You could also visit the Royal Worcester museum.

Alternatively, head south to Cheltenham, which is just under a half hour drive away, and enjoy a day at the races, or maybe time your visit to coincide with the annual and well regarded literary festival.
