We appreciate your frustration regarding customers not abiding to the park rules. Please understand that July is our busiest period and unfortunately we don’t always have the time to enforce them. We would be grateful if customers inform us about any problems and concerns they might have. All problems are resolved immediately. I would like to bring to your attention to a few things you mentioned.

Dogs off the leads we take very seriously and owners are told to keep them on leads at all times while on park.

Cars are permitted to park on the door side only if they don’t have awning. If they have an awning the car should be parked in a sensible spot that won’t intrude on anyone else.

Two cars are permitted per pitch at an extra charge. This is only possible as long as they don’t cause any inconvenience to any other customers.

The freezer that you bought the meat from is managed by the butcher. Since then we have informed the butcher and now the freezer is checked on weekly basis.

In Regards to your comment about the shop we only stock items that sell e.g. sweets, soft drinks, ice cream etc. With two very well stocked shops in Crail being only a few minutes walk from the holiday park we can’t compete with them on price and choice.

We value all our customers and we hope this hasn’t put you off visiting us again.

Kind regards

We stayed at this site for two weeks from July 19th through to August 2nd. The views were beautiful, and the site well maintained and laid out, but we were very disappointed with the size of our pitch. For the amount that we paid, (£25 per night) we expected a larger pitch than we got. We had a serviced pitch which cost extra, but were forever seeing other people using our water tap, and WASHING THEIR FEET under it a couple of times!!
There were rules that we abided by, but others didn`t , and nothing was done about it. One rule was that only one car was allowed per pitch, we saw several with 2 cars, one with 3. Dogs had to be on a lead at all times, but someone opposite us quite happily let hers run about unfettered, albeit on their pitch, but still against the rules, by my reckoning. Cars were not to be parked on the door side of the vans, but on the other side or across the end of the van, but we saw several parked facing the caravan doors. Granted it didn`t affect our holiday much, but if there are site rules, with the threat of being ordered off the site if they are not adhered to, then someone should enforce said rules.
On the one occasion that I bought something at the site shop (shop, that`s a laugh!!), it was a pack of beefburgers made by a local butcher. When I came to cooking them the following day, I just by chance spotted the date on the pack, which incidentally had been handed to me by the man in reception, I didn`t pick it out myself, the date said 9-3-10!! I took them back and they were exchanged, no quibbles, but I hope nobody else bought any that old and ate them!
All in all, Sauchope is a beautiful site that could be so much better, with just a bit of thought.

Beautiful view and friendly staff......really nice park. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the speed limit.....which was 10mph but hardly anyone observed it. The staff whizzed around in their buggies and even the cement mixer and tractors were too fast (there was building work). I couldn't relax and let my two girls run around and play on their bikes.

Just returned from this park. Have been here several times before and always really enjoyed the park, views and Crail. This time the weather was not as good. New people also run the site. On two occasions the electricity cut out when using nothing more than tv and caravan heating!!! That meant 1 night without any electricity as wardens do not attend at night (understandable as it was 23.30 when we called) Also pool closed 2 out of the 3 days, even when not raining, which was disappointing as although cloudy, kids enjoy pool. Big disappointment on final day when sun shining and pool open, we were told that even to stay on a further 30 mins would incur £5 fee-would have been more than happy to pay if we were staying on for an hour or more, but for 30 mins, it seemed a bit excessive as this was first time the pool was open all weekend. Otherwise, wardens friendly and quick to sort problems during office hours. A fantastic site to chill and enjoy.
