Own a second home in the Lake District at Silecroft Country Park, the private owners park on the Cumbrian coast with a stunning backdrop of the Cumbrian Fells.

An immaculately maintained site with breathtaking views of beautiful Black Combe mountain and the Isle of Man, the park is just a short walk from miles of sandy Blue Flag beaches.

This is a peaceful park in Cumbria without holiday lets, touring, camping or sub-letting. Ideally situated in the sleepy village of Silecroft, on the southwestern edge of the Lake District National Park.

On-site, there is a children's play area, launderette and a handy convenience store selling local products. The on-site wardens and maintenance team are there to help, and with a local pub serving great food and a choice of water sports, walking trails and golf courses nearby, there's always something to see and do.

The vast beach area is a mixture of sand and grassland heath – a dog walker's paradise. Indeed dogs will be spoilt for choice between that and fell walking up nearby Black Combe. If you want to be more active, you are spoilt for choice, with two riding stables that are less than half a mile away. A ride along the beach is highly recommended. For the golf enthusiast, a nine-hole golf course borders the park.

Families who seek a more challenging holiday can be sure that leisure activities in this part of the country will tick all their boxes. Park-based staff are on hand to help you schedule a range of activities including pony trekking, mountain biking, sailing, kayaking, abseiling, climbing and guided walking.

Silecroft is a perfect base for exploring one of the least busy areas of the Lake District. Head north to visit the charming village of Ravenglass and hop on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway for a steam experience into the heart of Eskdale. Visit Wastwater, to see what is considered to be one of Britain's finest views or take the short drive to Haverigg, another equally charming fishing village five miles south of Silecroft that includes a restored lighthouse and the RSPB's Hodbarrow Reserve lagoon, home to a multitude of wading birds.

All of the newer holiday home models come with the latest facilities including double glazing, central heating, an en suite WC, a shower room, a fully equipped kitchen, a TV and your own outside space in which to lounge and soak up the sun. The opportunity to purchase caravans both old and new is available throughout the year.

As a holiday homeowner, you can fully appreciate the friendly atmosphere and the great welcome the park provides.
