We have just returned from our annual touring caravan holiday. This is the first time we have stayed at this site. On the whole the site was perfect for our needs, with the swimming pools, shop and entertainment for our children. Also the size of the pitches we were on were very spacious and as there was a large group of us this was great. The down side was the shower facilities. There was a problem with the hot water, which meant many cold showers (not accecptable) also some of the showers were broken or not draining properly, as well as this many of them were dirty. However, we did bring this to the attention of the park and we were dealt with appropriately and polietly.

first time for us to this site, fancied a change from devon and cornwall as we usually go to challaborough at bigbury which we love for its location and closeness to the beach, also lots of coastal walks, sadly sandford has none of these, but my main grievance with this park is that some of the caravans are located within thirty feet adjacent to the main road leading to the entrance of this park, unfortunately we had one of these, traffic noise is horrendous and believe me you will not get a good nights sleep, though it answered my curiosity as to why they sold earplugs in the onsight costcutters store.having said that the evening entertainment is very good with the troopers working their little hearts out and carla jane, what a singer, your wasted there girl.

Just got back from 2 weeks at this site and we will definitely not being going back!

We booked this basically on the reviews and the pictures and reports on the site on the internet.

The good points are, it had Costa's coffee and it was a great location for sites, i.e. Lulworth Cove and Castle, Weymouth, Bournemouth, Wareham, Swanage.

Bad points - Toilets and Showers in serious need of updating, the toilet cubical i used only once had cigarette burns in the wall, no loo roll holder and the seat was cracked.
The first week we were there the late night security guard was on holiday, so the noise from late night revellers was just awful. We had a group of 4 teenagers and an Adult in our field and the noise generated from them was horrendous, there pitch was a total mess, and to top it all off there was an "incident" in the communal toilets late one night and they were dropped off the next morning in a police car, the police shut off the toilets to conduct their investigation.

We went for a drink in the main complex, it was so busy, the tables were dirty.

We spent the last 9 days of our holiday out site seeing as we didn't like the site.

The wife and i went for a walk with the dog one night into the centre to get a hot chocolate from Costas and we were appalled at the language used by the teens, the boisterousness of them and there general behaviour, there was a group throwing bottles onto the plaza roof and waiting for them to drop off.

Lucky for us we were on a "Star Pitch" so we got our own water otherwise it was a 2 minute walk to get it, the chemical toilet disposal was always in a disgusting state due to other users not cleaning up properly, however as there was just a tap with no hosepipe if you did splash then it was very hard to clean up, also the light bulb was missing so a late night visit was in the dark.

Go carts were reasonable price and great fun and the kids loved them. The swings and pirate ship although very small for the size of the park were also enjoyable for the kids during the day however at night fall it got seriously abused by the older teens.

We had only one dealing with the staff at the main reception and the man was very rude and unhelpful.

Google the site for local news before you go there, i wish we had done this beforehand as it would've changed our minds about going.

Overall very disappointing visit.

Just got back from a weekend break from the Sun Holiday 3 night break. The caravan was lovely and spacious and clean. There was a flat screen TV and all the utilities you need. It was a lovely park, nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor pool and sufficient restaurants and arcade games, bowling, ball pit etc. The entertainment programmes were brilliant for both my 4 year old and 10 year old, caberet was good etc. Could of stayed longer!!! Shop slightly expensive, but Im sure there are cheaper out of the park or take the things you need before hand. Monkey World was brilliant, we had loads of fun there! Would go again, the staff were nice and friendly.

My visit was during peak season .The troupers are all fantastic both during the day and evening, they all work hard. The site is clean and staff are helpful. This site has two pools one inside and one outside, both are quite small.I found that me and my family could not enter the outside pool on sunny days after about 11am unless we queed. I asked staff and there is a 200person limit around the pool.In This was a pain i think the site has over 600 pitches and there is not enough pool space. passes were looked at upon entry to the pool but dates not cheched i saw people walking back to the campsite next door after using sandfords pool.
The park is in a good location and a great place to stay unless you want to use the outside pool on sunny school holidays

Very good location and the facilities are very clean and spacious. Loads of entertainment for both kids and grown ups.
They have 2 swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, both heated. The only downside is the fact that it's not allowed to take pictures in the pools.
There are amusements and a loads of shows going on everyday. The kids loved it we so did we!
The staff are very polite and the after customer care is excellent!
Strongly recommend this park.
