Upper Lynstone Camping and Caravan Park

Bude, Cornwall

Upper Lynstone Camping and Caravan Park is a quiet, family owned and managed holiday destination close to the popular town of Bude, on the Cornish coast.

The park has been rated as a four-star resort by Visit England, and is open from late March until late September. The site offers a range of modern and well-equipped static holiday homes for hire, as well as 25 electric hook-up pitches suitable for touring caravans and motorhomes, plus a camping area with space for 45 tents. The season for static home hire often extends until mid-October, but this should be checked with the park directly prior to booking.

The park accepts bookings from families and couples only, so a quiet and relaxing break away from large groups is guaranteed.

Facilities available at Upper Lynstone Camping and Caravan Park include toilets, basins and showers, a laundrette and a washing up area. There is a well-stocked convenience store at the park, which sells camping accessories as well as a range of basic groceries and provisions. Camping Gaz and Calor Gas exchanges can also be taken care of at the campsite's shop.

Although the park is relatively small there is a large children’s play area, perfect for families looking to stay on-site or get little ones running off energy reserves at the end of a day out. The park also features football goals for anyone wishing to enjoy a friendly game.

Upper Lynstone Camping and Caravan Park's reception has a handy tourist information area where guests can pick up leaflets regarding the many things to do in Cornwall, so they can plan their days out.

This campsite is in the hamlet of Upton, just outside the small seaside resort town of Bude, on the north Cornish coast – and there are three miles of beaches along the coastal area around the town, which is perfect as this is why many people choose to spend their holidays in Cornwall. Many of the beaches on this coast are famous for their adrenaline fuelled activities on offer, with surfing proving hugely popular. However, guests preferring somewhere quieter to escape to with their families will find plenty of coves and other locations where they can relax, as well as enjoying swimming, paddling, rock pooling and other activities.

There is a Splash Pool complex in Bude, so guests still have something to do on a rainy day, while the town also boasts some great shops, as well as a range of pubs, cafes, restaurants, tearooms and takeaways catering for all tastes, so you can enjoy some time away from the kitchen on your camping, motorhome and caravan holidays.

The South West Coast Path passes close to the park, offering miles of walking and cycling along the coast. There is also an abundance of trails heading inland across the countryside, with many welcoming villages to be discovered.

The area of coastline that Upper Lynstone Camping and Caravan Park sits in is sandwiched between the Hartland Cornwall Heritage Coast and the Pentire Point to Widemouth Heritage Coast, so perhaps it goes without saying that there are many magnificent and dramatic sea views to enjoy in this area.

So if you want to visit Cornwall on your holidays, staying at Upper Lynstone Camping and Caravan Park will let you soak up the stunning natural beauty of this county.

A great site that makes no claims that can't be backed up. Very friendly staff. Showers could do with a makeover and increased in number. Location is ideal for walking and local visiting. Pitch sizes are adequate and well mixed for camping whether tenting, camper van or touring. will be going back that's for sure.
