31 Jul 2008: elliota1 from Derbyshire reviewed Woodhill Park

Me and my partner found Woodhill Park by chance on the internet and it was by far the best choice we made.
We stayed in the luxury accommodation at the Cromer site for a week in June 2008.
Excellent communication via email and payment processed with no problems. Confimation was sent out immediately and so we packed and went.
Absolutely fantastic, excellent cleanliness and very modern in terms of decor.
Shop on site with all the essentials and was always well stocked and at a reasonable price.
Lovely views from the cliff tops and to have the rabbits running around the grounds each day was fantastic. The grounds very highly maintained and parking was fine at the side of your home.
The staff were very helpful and never bothered us during our stay, but we were told to contact them should we need them for anything. Reception was very welcoming and the staff were on hand if you required directions or wanted day trips somewhere.
Everything was set up inside the holiday home ready for use and the smell on arrival was fresh and clean.
Cromer is a lovely area with places to eat good food at and enjoy the drinks in a relaxing environment. There is plenty to do for kids and adults of all ages and you dont have to travel far to take in the sights.
We had the sun all week and felt like we were in another country, and having spoken to people that were staying at the side of us, Woodhill Park was the best site to stay on.
So well done and keep up the work, we will definately return in the future.

Professional Reviews

Practical Motorhome Independent Site Reviews.

This site is easy to find on the seaward side of the coast road. It has open aspects over the sea, and excellent can be taken walks along the cliff paths. Some permanent static caravans have their own area adjacent to the cliff path. The site is within an easy walk of the village of East Runton, which has a variety of pubs that provide good food. It also has a few shops: a wider variety is available within a short drive of the seaside towns of Sheringham and Cromer, which both provide seaside entertainment.
Both towns have their own particular attractions; Cromer has a pier and amusement arcades, which will keep the children happy, if they are not otherwise enjoying themselves fishing for crabs with bacon on a string. Sheringham is more sedate, with good walks, shops, restaurants and also amusement arcades of a less garish tone.
The site is well run. It has resident wardens and on-site security. There are five fully serviced pitches - but book early, as they are often in great demand. Other pitches are all well marked and of good size and quality, some with spectacular views. An ID tag is issued on arrival, to place on your vehicle - this allows unobtrusive security checks by wardens, who also look after touring areas and sanitary facilities.
A wide vista allows you to sit with a relaxing view of the justly famed and beautiful Norfolk skies, while your barbecue food cooks away nicely beside your motorhome.
A well-stocked shop will provide nearly all your needs. Children are well catered for, with a play area, where they can fly kites, or play giant chess, table tennis or pétanque.
The very friendly reception staff provide a five-day weather forecast, which helps plan your activities days ahead. Ample tourist information facilities and daily information bulletins add to the convenience.

Practical Caravans Top 100 Parks Awards 2003

With stunning views of the coast and the surrounding countryside, Woodhill Park is on a prime clifftop spot and is only a short distance from some of the best attractions in the area. Wildlife is in abundance: Clay and Blakeney are two great spots for bird watching, and you can also see the seals from Blakeney Point. The coastal walks provide a tranquil escape and a chance to admire the breathtaking scenery. The rocky and sandy beaches are very popular with holidaymakers. You can also admire the coastline from the sea by taking a boat trip.

Woodhill Park has 300 pitches, divided into three areas, 175 with 16A electricity hook-up. There are three toilet and shower blocks with provision for the disabled, a laundrette and ironing facilities, and a small shop for all the essentials. There is an adventure playground, crazy golf and plenty of space for ball games. Take the children to Cromer for Karttrax, a go-karting centre, or to The Splash in Sheringham, where there is a fun pool with slides and a wave machine. There is a nine-hole golf course adjacent to the site. Some of the local attractions include the West Runton Shire Horse Centre and the North Norfolk steam railway.

The wonderful surroundings of the Norfolk Broads and Woodhill Park’s closeness to the north coast combine to create a magnificent holiday setting, whether you are looking for a leisurely break or lots of family entertainment.
