Hurst Lea Leisure Park is a charming holiday location found in the heart of rural Lancashire, just outside the village of Little Eccleston. The site is owned and operated by Hanley Caravans, and is open for 12 months of the year.

This site consists of privately owned holiday homes only. Both new and pre-owned holiday homes are available at Hurst Lea, and enquiries for those looking to become home owners at the park should be made directly to the park warden.

All of the holiday homes at Hurst Lea Leisure Park are nicely decorated and maintained. They are also fitted with all the conveniences and appliances you need, as well as being hooked up to electricity, water and drainage systems. This is a dog friendly park, but only well behaved dogs are welcome, they must be kept under control at all times and owners must clean up after them.

Straight opposite the park entrance is the brilliant Cartford Country Inn and Hotel, which has won multiple awards for its amazing food and ales. The Hart Brewery is also located at the rear of the hotel and is open for visits throughout the year.

The village of Great Eccleston is just a 15-minute walk from Hurst Lea Caravan Park and, with its post office, shops, eateries and churches, it is a very convenient place to have so near by when you're on a self catering holiday.

Further afield, if you'd like to visit Blackpool, it's less than half an hour by car from this park. Children will love the pleasure beach, while the Blackpool Tower and the Blackpool Illuminations are further attractions. There's also Sandcastle Waterpark, the famous pier and the beach.

Lytham Saint Annes is also about a half hour drive from Hurst Lea Caravan Park. Visit Lytham Hall, Lytham Windmill and Illuminasia. Or if you'd like to spend time playing golf on your holidays, there are three courses here, the Royal Lytham & Saint Annes Golf Club, Fairhaven Golf Club and Lytham Green Drive Golf Club.

If you'd like to visit Preston, it's also about a 30-minute drive from this park, Blackburn is a 45-minute drive away, Lancaster is a 35-minute drive away and Morecambe is a 50-minute drive from Hurst Lea Caravan Park.

Many people heading to this region will want to take some time to explore the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Events are run here throughout the year, but it's simply a fantastic region for walking, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, horse riding or maybe even gliding. The Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is also nearby. In fact, you might like to visit Kendal, which is around an hour's drive from this park, and from here you can explore the wilds of the Lake District National Park, either energetically or maybe enjoying a cruise across Lake Windermere, soaking in the fabulous views.

However you like to spend your time on your caravan holidays, in this corner of Lancashire you'll find plenty to do.

Open all year.
