Located in lovely Cambridgeshire, Highfield Farm Touring Park is one of the leading holiday parks in the area. The site comprises of 120 pitches and caters to motorhomes, caravans, and tents. Highfield Farm Touring Park's season goes from early April until late October.

Surrounded by woodland and spanning eight acres, the park is one of the best sheltered holiday parks in the area. The pitches are all placed around the outer edge of the park giving a roomy uncrowded sense of space within the centre of the park. All pitches come with electric hook up. There are water access points close all through the park. The park is sectioned into areas for different types of holiday goers, so that families can enjoy the open spaces yet couples also have privacy and quiet.

The park is family owned and run. A nature trail 1.5 miles long goes through the park and gives some excellent views, and great places to stop off and take a break, or even have a family picnic.

The calm environment of Highfield Farm is perfect for relaxing. The site has no restaurants or bars. If you are looking for a change in pace though, the small village of Comberton is a short trek away. The village pub is very welcoming. There are plenty of locations serving food and drink throughout the village. If you want to go slightly further afield the park is within easy driving distance of Cambridge which is also close to the M11 motorway, giving you effortless access to best of Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, and Hertfordshire at your will.

Public transport regularly serves the area running from Comberton into Cambridge, so leaving the car on-site and enjoying a great day out in the surrounding area is entirely possible. Cambridge contains a good mix of modern shops and restaurants yet the cobbled streets and historic buildings are also not to be missed.

I have just returned from a weekend break at Highfields and can't recommend it enough. It's location to Cambridge is perfect, and the staff are very helpful even handing out a booklet with all the information you'll need for your stay. The site itself is clean, quiet and perfect if you want a chilled and relaxed holiday. If I ever return to the area for a break, then I will be staying here again. Highfield is a true gem, peaceful & perfect for relaxing, facilities are very good & clean, hairdryers at 10p a go which lasts long enough to dry your hair properley-great if like me you forget your dryer!, well stocked shop with newspapers on request. The pitches are hard-standing and spacious, the park doesnot have the attitude of 'cram 'em all in' which gives it a spacious feel. There is a couple of swings and a slide but unless your kids are happy to make their own entertainment then this site won't keep them occupied. the park is about a five minute car ride (or a nice stroll) away from shops, post office, nice pubs serving food etc, there are no bars/cafe on the park but a fish 'n' chip van visits every Saturday night which seems to be popular with the locals too. If you want to visit Cambridge then use the many park 'n' ride car parks, it's only £2.20 return (at the time of writing) and the drivers are very pleasent & helpful AND the buses are clean , the park 'n' ride service is great with no hassle of trying to find a car park amongst all those bikes! the park is also within a car ride of Wimpole Hall (great 1940's weekend in September) and also Duxford Air museum, which is brilliant - ever stood underneath a B52 bomber? i hadn't either, wow! what a sight!. All in all this park is lovely and yes we would go again. Highfield Farm Touring Park, Comberton, Cambridgeshire

The Past

** This review was originally posted by Mr. Hart from Canterbury. ** My wife and I regularly stay at Highfield Farm, and in our opinion this park is among the best we have visited. It is exceptionally well kept, the pitches are well spaced, and the park is never overcrowded (the pitches are only positioned around the perimeter of the park leaving large grassed areas in the center). The owners, who have run the park for many years, are also very friendly and helpful. Unbelievably, the park also has one of the lowest tariffs around! The beautiful city of Cambridge is only a short drive away, as are many other local attractions and places of interest.
