Minehead Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Minehead, Somerset

Minehead Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a popular site found a short distance from the town sharing its name, sitting just inside the beautiful Exmoor National Park. We 50 pitches open for touring caravans and tents, while children and pets are welcome to come along and stay with us, too.
On site, we provide you with electric hook-ups, Wi-Fi internet access, and facilities for completing laundry, washing up, and for disposing of chemical waste, to ensure you have a stress-free stay with us at Minehead Camping and Caravanning Club Site.

The park is found just a short distance from the famous Heritage Coastline of north Somerset and Devon, and the long sandy beach at Minehead is the most popular in the whole region. The town centre is also a great place to go and look around, with traditional local stores as well as newer chain brands and popular restaurants to be enjoyed.

Your close proximity to the water when you stay with us means that fishing is an obvious attraction for keen anglers, both in the sea with boat trips and on the many waterways that run through Exmoor. You can use the National Park for relaxation, or the more active traveller can bring along their bicycle – or hire one – and discover the surrounding landscape from a unique perspective on two wheels. You’ll also find the South West Coast path starting in Minehead; it goes over 600 miles along the coastlines of Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and Dorset, ending in the south coast town of Poole. You’re obviously not going to walk the whole thing, but local tourist boards recommend the best sections close to the park as well as other walks that explore Exmoor and sections of the coastline, most of which is awe-inspiring cliff tops.

Not everything involves you being on your feet, however, as the West Somerset Steam Railway is based in Minehead and takes you on a stunning journey along the coastline and through the local countryside, the perfect thing to do when you’ve spent the rest of your trip exploring yourself! Further afield, the towns of Taunton and the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare are worth the drive as they both feature a range of attractions including shops, amusements, and outdoor activities like horse riding and sports.

Our Minehead site is the perfect gateway to the Somerset and Devon countryside as well as to miles of Heritage Coastline and woodland, a great place to relax and lose yourself in the wonderful outdoor surroundings.

Minehead is also the starting point for the South West Coast path, a long-distance trail that travels 630 miles around the coast to Poole. Shorter walks area available in Exmoor National Park – a good place to start is the Visitor Centre at Dunster. The mediaeval town is also home to a castle that dates back to 1086.
