Nestling in a valley, surrounded by farmland, this award-winning 5-star Park is in the heart of the Roseland Peninsula. This uncommercialised area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, along with the quiet Park atmosphere, is ideal for those seeking the perfect rural retreat.

This campsite has also won a great many other awards including TripAdviser Certificate of Excellence and the AA 5-pennant Platinum award. It has also been awarded the coveted gold award from enjoy England for exceptional quality and service beyond the usual 5-star rating. The park, also boasts a proud membership of a group of parks known as Tranquil Parks.

The park welcomes caravans, tents and motorhomes. There's a choice of all-weather and grass pitches, all with 16-amp hook-up and TV point, and fully serviced pitches which also have individual water & waste points. Pitches are individually hedged which is a nice touch that affords some privacy. Free WiFi broadband is available throughout the park and every pitch has a wooden picnic table.

Facilities are excellent, from the shop selling essential groceries and camping equipment, plus local produce and fresh bread, to the welcoming reception area. The washrooms are modern, fresh and clean, with toilets, hot showers and basins in privacy cubicles. There are three unisex individual luxury shower rooms, one of which is ideal for those less able. There is also an indoor dishwashing room, fully equipped launderette, extensive information area and a 3 acre dog walking field. Electric car charging points are also available.

Just 3 miles from the quaint fishing villages of St Mawes and Portscatho, yet only a mile from the sea, the park is within easy reach of many places of interest. Visit the castles at St Mawes and Pendennis, the lighthouse at St Anthony's head or St Just-in-Roseland Church. The area has stunning scenery, the perfect place if you enjoy walking or bird watching. There are many ferries and boat trips to be enjoyed as well as many excellent places to eat. Trethem Mill is also near some of the best beaches in Cornwall. The nearest one is at Porthcurnick with Towan, Pendower, Carne and Porthbeor close by. There are also several National Trust properties nearby including Trelissick & Glendurgan gardens and Lanhydrock house.

I had read really good things about this camp site & as we hadn't visited the Roseland Peninsular area of Cornwall thought I'd give it a try. Well, all I can say is how superb a camp site it is in every way.
