Whether you want to climb it or hop aboard the train for the ascent and/or the descent, the views from the top are, on a clear day, incredible. Snowdonia National Park as a whole is a great place to get active. Go walking, cycling, mountain biking, climbing, horse riding, sailing, white water rafting and much more.

Myself and my wife visited Riverside Touring Park for two nights on the 18th March 2011. We were immediately impressed with the site as soon as we arrived. Obviously the fabulous location in the village of Betws Y Coed did play a part but the site itself is a credit to it owners and managers. On arrival we went to he site office to be greeted and looked after by very pleasent staff. They directed us to our pitch by map and everything was very well organised. The shop which is part of the office is excellently stocked with camping and caravan equipment and some light refreshments. The pitches are very well kept and large. The toilets and showers are spotlessl clean and there is a stile from the site leading out to a lovely riverside walk. The site is just on the edge of the village which caters very well for tourists, day trippers and walkers. It is in an ideal location for hillwalkers as you are very close to the mountains of Snowdonia and various other river and country walks. There is a very good tourist office within
walking distance of the site also. Also the park is right beside the railway station if you would like to travel further afield. We will definitly be visiting Riverside Touring Park again in the very near future as although we come over from Southern Ireland it is easy to travel from the Port of Hollyhead to Betws Y Coed. We give the park a 5 star rating and have recommended it to many other people since our March visit.
