We found the park v were very friendly and helpful, the pitches were a good size.
The swimming pool, sauna, toiltes, kitchen facilities were all very clean and well maintained, the shop appeared to have a good variety of goods, although we had all we wanted.
The gardens and grounds are very well kept.
it is a park I would have no hesitation in booking again.
Pretty central for all the southern area of both \Devon and Cornwall.

We stayed at Woodovis over the Easter break with our 4 children whose ages are between 18 months and 14 years. The staff were friendly, approachable and extremely hard working. The site was very clean and the swimming pool area was immaculate. We didn't have the feeling where you have to walk on your tiptoes because the floor is so grotty!! The onsite shop made freshly baked bread and croissants each morning that you could pre order the night before and, as our caravan was moments from the shop it smelt absolutely divine. In the evenings the older two went and played pool and air hockey in the games room with other children. The atmosphere was lovely, it isn't a huge site but this made it quite homely. The only disappointing thing about this site was the children’s play park. It was a nice area with a tractor and a playhouse but it really needs some swings or a slide. We would definitely recommend this site and will return to it in the future.

It was super. We had a lovely time. The campsite is beautiful, clean and whit nice trees/plants. The atmosphere is very friendly en our children had a good time whit other children. The facilities are very good: nice pool+whirlpool+sauna and a golf-site. The place makes it easy to visit lots of things in Devon and Cornwall: natural beauty, castles, the sea, places to visit whit the children. We like to recommend it to others! Thank you John and Dorothy!

We had a fantastic time at Woodovis Park. When we arrived we thought we were going to stay there for 3 days, but we ended up staying there for our complete summer holiday. The place is clean, beautiful and the people are great! We really felt welcome and even our kids talked about going "home" instead of going to the caravan. Thank you all very much for making us feel at home! We will certainly recommend you to our friends and hope to be back soon.

Woodovis Park, Devon
We have just visited a lovely, very friendly site where everything was just as we would have hoped. Additionally, all the facilities are very clean all the time and everthing you could want is there - including an ironing board with iron, necessary for us this visit as we chose Tavistock as a convenient location! Not least Tavistock itself has so many very lovely individual/independent little shops - and a great Indian restaurant. A really excellent site. We will visit again.

Lovely site, very peaceful and tranquil, but still suitable for families. Excellent swimming pool with just the right facilities, the play area and putting green were enough to entertain children and the park facilities were clean and good quality. We stayed in a static caravan, which was very comfortable and clean. The little extras made a difference too - a welcome gift on arrival, tea/coffee sachets, matches in the kitchen (we always forget them!!). Well located for trips across Dartmoor to see the views and ponies!

Excellent friendly site. Immaculately clean, good facilities. Ideally situated for visiting places of interest in the south west. Highly recommended. Friendly helpful owners and staff. We will certainly recommend this site to our friends who are motorhomers/caravanners.

Now visited here 4 times in 2 months. Excellent welcome by Dorothy and her team, clean, friendly site. Good swimming pool which is rarely full. Sauna and jacuzzi small yet efficient. Games room which offers books and dvds to take awy is very useful with the type of weather experienced recently.
We have been there when the site was full yet it was still peaceful.
We will return in September

My wife and I have been visiting Woodovis Park for many years. We only stop for 3 days to attend the local jazz event at Morwhellham Quay , but each time are given a huge welcome like long lost friends. The park is exceptional. Excellent pitches ,excellent facilities , friendly and helpful managers and staff. We can't recommend this site too highly.

A fantastic site with a warm and friendly welcome from all of the staff. The site is extremely well cared for and clean with all the facilities that you need along with good sized pitches. A great place for kids with the indoor pool, mini golf and games room with the additional weekly activities of archery and water walking! The freshly baked bread each morning is a must! Will be going again without a doubt and would recommend this site to anyone. Excellent base for all the attractions of South Devon and Cornwall. Well done to Dorothy, John and the team.

A fantastic family/dog-friendly site. Great welcome from Dorothy and all the staff. Spent lots of time in the swimming pool due to very bad weather. Good base for Tavistock, Plymouth and Dartmoor. We will definately return.

Of all the campsites we've ever stayed on, this one takes the crown for us. We are used to the standards of the Caravan Club, but my wife, children and I felt Woodovis set new standards for others to aspire to. Woodovis is beautifully laid out with space enough for touring caravans, tents, and their permanent sited static vans. Theirs loads of room and plenty to keep the children happy with play park, and plenty of space for safe ball games. The icing on the cake is an indoor pool with hot tub, and steam room......or even the fresh bread straight out of the oven in the mornings. The site is ideally located to visit many local attractions whether it be visiting local markets with their timetable of events, or just escaping up to Kit Hill with its magnificent views and lovely walks. All in all if you want a camp site to remember ..this is the one. Thankyou so much John and Dorothy for all your efforts. Without a shadow of a doubt you have a 5 Star rating from us. In the words of Arnold Swartzenegger...I'll be back.

I was on a camping/bicycle tour of Britian and arrived at Woodovis Park in Devon very weary. I was given a very warm welcome by he owners, and a choice of excellent pitches for my small tent. I found the site well cared for and beautifully kept. The toilet/shower facilities were spotless. The welcome even extended to a cup of coffee. I fully intend to re-visit with my caravan at the earliest opportunity.

Fantastic campsite - peaceful and beautiful location. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and really make you welcome. The swimming pool is beautiful - light and airy and a real plus with the children - whatever the weather. Every morning the children start the day with the trip to the shop for freshly baked croissant and bread - what a brilliant idea. Walks on the moors, swimming in the rivers and trips to the beach made up our days. And one day we joined in the water walking in the pool - sounds a mad idea running around a large inflated ball on the pool like hamsters - but was great fun for all ages and a great work out! Really recommend this site to anyone who loves a peaceful site, great facilities, family friendly and a friendly welcome. We have been coming here or the last 8 years now and it just gets better and better.

This site is set in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the western edge of Dartmoor National Park and on the borders of Devon and Cornwall.
The nearest town is Tavistock, which holds a farmers’ market twice
a month. In fact, the area is a bit of a foodie haven with many outstanding places to eat. From Tavistock, you can walk to the 1130-foot high Brent Tor on Dartmoor. This rocky outcrop, topped by the Church of St Michael, offers good views from the summit.
From this site you can also visit two grand old buildings. Buckland Abbey was once a medieval monastry, but is better known as the home of Sir Francis Drake. Cotehele House, near Saltash is one of the least altered Tudor houses in Britain and still has original tapestries and furniture.
On site, you will find spacious pitches with electric hook-up and easy access to water points, the washroom, washing-up, and laundry facilities. There is also a play area, indoor heated pool and games room.

After heading down the tree-lined private drive that stretches for half a mile from the main village road to this site, you are greeted by John and Dorothy Lewis, who provide the kind of friendly, polite service that almost belongs to
a different age.
The site’s 50 pitches are thoughtfully arranged in a way that allows you to drink in the stunning Devon scenery. They are separated into two areas, allowing those with families to be close to the well equipped play area and indoor heated swimming pool. Other guests have the facilities close at hand but are able to pitch in a separate area in which it’s easy to imagine you are on a small, five-caravan site. This is quite a feat, and means that the park will appeal to just about every type of visitor imaginable.
The owners and their staff work extremely hard to offer all the facilities that a discerning visitor might require. For example, the shop sells home-made bread that can be baked to order. Indeed, a monthly meeting is held to discuss the ways in which the site could be improved. Something that will not change, however, is the charm of this superb little site, which offers everything that the bigger players do, but with a welcoming atmosphere and friendliness that they could never hope to match.
