This is our fav. "get away from it all" site. As soon as we turn through the red gates and drive through the sheep field to the site, we can feel all the stress of modern day living just floating away. The wardens are more than happy to help with anything that may need a little advice while you enjoy your stay. There is a great little area for leaflets and local information that helps you find out what is happening when and where. We have always tried to stay on the West side of the site for the lovely views over the North Yorkshire Moors. This side of the site is also near the mini golf, (50p per day hire for a golf club and ball.) The boules pitch is also great to enjoy as, (in our case,) a family bonding excercise.
If you are into walking then this site is ideal. Miles of little used roads and footpaths run from or near where you will be staying. Villages, (Whitby, Robin Hoods bay,) and shops are a few miles journey away, and, as far as I know, public transport isn't handy, but, in my opinion that all adds to the escapisum of Low Moor.
For a couple of years we decided to miss going to this great site because of its lack of a toilet block, how wrong we were! Everything else makes up for this, and we now feel foolish for letting such a trival thing cloud our judgement.

This club site is set in the middle of Heartbeat country, and is in a great location for walking and cycling holidays, with footpaths running nearby. Some of the pitches are sheltered by trees, while others are more exposed – you simply choose which you prefer. For fun, there’s a boules pitch, and mini-golf. The nearest shop is around three miles
away, while the nearest beach is
within five miles.
There are spectacular moorland views from the western side of the site which mean that if you get the right pitch, you won’t need to leave your van to enjoy the area. The site is open to non-members. There is no washblock however, so your own sanitation is essential. There
is a chemical disposal point.
