Nichols Nymett Holiday Park is one of the most peaceful and secluded holiday parks in Devon. The park is a short walk away from the charming and picturesque village of North Tawton and is surrounded by miles of unspoiled natural countryside. The park has a small number of owned holiday homes as well as a selection of caravans that are available for holidaymakers to rent.

Despite the position of Nichols Nymett Holiday Park meaning you’re far enough away to feel like you’re cut off from the world around you, you’re also able to easily reach the hottest places to be in Devon and Cornwall owing to the close proximity of the A30.

The countryside that surrounds Nichols Nymett Holiday Park offers plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing and a wide range of other leisurely pursuits that can be enjoyed by family members of all ages and persuasions as well as pets that come along for the trip.

A short distance to the south of this campsite is the iconic Dartmoor National Park. Here, you’re free to enjoy the surroundings at your leisure as well as undertake a number of organised activities, with climbing and horse riding in addition to those already mentioned. Alternatively, find an open space and enjoy a game of football, rounders or cricket.

Another benefit of the location of this campsite in Devon is that you’re relatively central in relation to the rest of the county and also neighbouring Cornwall. There are plenty of Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, National Trust properties and tourist attractions within an hour of the site, including Bodmin Wildlife Park and the world famous Eden Project. Driving slightly further afield will take you to the end of the UK at Land’s End and the wide range of leisure attractions and activities on offer in the town.

To the north and west of this campsite you’ll find the section of the coastline popular with surfers and others looking for water adventures. As well as surfing, jet skiing and kiteboarding are popular activities with holidaymakers in the area. Exmoor National Park is situated nicely on the coast and is close to the thriving town of Taunton and the Somerset countryside if you wish to explore further afield. Back in Devon and Cornwall, Newquay and Padstow are the most popular locations to head to whether you’re looking for activities during the day or somewhere lively to spend your evenings. Public transport runs to these locations from nearby Okehampton and Exeter so you can head out and leave the car at the campsite if you wish.

The south and east brings you to the famous Heritage Coastline of Devon and Cornwall, where you can explore quirky seaside towns like Teignmouth and Torquay, head into the calm seas to enjoy a swim, or get out the mountain bike and enjoy miles of cliff top trails and rolling countryside. City lovers can easily reach Exeter and Plymouth, both of which are filled with plenty of activities for all to enjoy.
