We booked a week here. On arrival we were told that the caravan had been let out by the owners to some of their family for the week!!! We were sent to Clarach Bay where we had the worst week imaginable! That place sucks! Arrogant owners, dogs, archaic facilities. NEVER AGAIN.Barkers Leisure and the owner at Wide Horizons - YOUR KARMA AWAITS YOU !

Property manager response (09 Jun 2012)

Dear Mr Hewett, Firstly we take on board that you had a bad experience not being able to stay in Wide Horizons, we had know idea that the owner of the caravan (sublet) wasn't going to leave that day ready for you to occupy, we asked the owners of the caravan and they refused to leave. This left us in a very difficult situation, and rather than let you and your family down we gave you the option of going to our other park at Clarach Bay. The accommodation we gave you was an upgrade to gold caravan as you originally booked silver. The park facilities at Clarach Bay are far in front of what you would have had at Wide Horizons, the club at Clarach Bay has some of the best entertainment along the coast, it also boasts a fish & chip shop, grocery store, fun fair, amusement arcade, and a beach on your door step. I don't really know what went wrong for you apart from the park move, but given the cercumstances we did our best to accommodate you and your family, we're sorry for any inconvenience caused Barkers Leisure

My Grandperents had a caravan here for 8 years and was there all the time, Me and my brother would go down in every school holiday because we loved it there, it's a quiet place with lots of lovley and friendly people, also the owners that was there at the time was so welcoming they had 3 children and would live there all year round. my gransher gave up the caravan 4 years ago when my Nan was ill. Although we have not got a caravan there any more we have still gone down there and spent a week in my Auncles caravan as he also has a caravan there but has now given it to his children My ancle had his caravan before my grandperents and still has it there now. The caravan site is only a short walk away from the town which is realy easy to get to. and you can also walk into newquey from the site but it will take you about 45 minutes to an hour.
