Open all year, Elm Cottage Touring Park is a friendly, family-run park, handily located if you’re planning to tour around the lovely county of Cheshire.
This is an award winning campsite. It features in the Top 100 Sites Guide 2015, published by Caravan Sitefinder, Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome. This trusted guide to the best campsites in the UK commends Elm Cottage for being well maintained and environmentally friendly, with a comfortable and homely feel.
For caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents there are 35 pitches in a two-acre field, these a mix of all weather and grass pitches, all of which have 10A electric hook-ups. Premier Plus pitches are available too, each a gravel surface, an electric hook-up, fresh water, grey waste disposal, a bin, a picnic bench and low level night time lighting. The camping season at Elm Cottage Touring Park runs from Easter until sometime around the end of September. Groundsheets used on grass pitches must be of the breathable variety. It is also a good site for rallies, due to the 6.5-acre rally field and the barn that's able to seat 80 with basic kitchen facilities.
The washrooms at this campsite have underfloor heating to keep you warm all season and there are disabled facilities. There's a laundry and somewhere to do your washing up, and Wi-Fi is available.
There’s also a motorhome service point. Motorhome owners who aren’t planning to stay can make an up-to-three-hour stopover and use the facilities for a charge of just £6.
If you’re visiting Elm Cottage Touring Park you’ll find the Shrewsbury Arms pub just 400 yards down the road, which serves good food.
This is also a dog friendly campsite with a dog walking area. Please remember to clean up after your dogs, using the bins provided, and to keep them on a lead and under control.
However, that's not all – there is also a B&B facility at Elm Cottage. There is a studio style chalet with a double bed and a two-seat sofa bed, while in the main house there are two further rooms, one a double, the other a twin/double. All the B&B accommodation has either en suite or a shower room that's very nearby.
