In the Lake District, England’s highest mountains descend into forested valleys that stand above the country’s deepest lakes. The area is an excellent destination for mountain biking, walking, hiking and fishing holidays. Bleck Beck lies within the Lake District’s Grizedale Forest at the southern tips of Coniston Water and Lake Windemere. Just down the road is the picturesque village of Bouth where you can put your feet up in the cosy 17th-century pub that serves food daily.

A duck pond adds to the onsite tranquillity, and several woodland walks lead directly from the park. For leisure, there’s a gym, sauna and jacuzzi. A children’s play area will keep kids entertained. Directions

By Car: Take Junction 36 off the M6 motorway which is sign posted South Lakes/Kendal and Barrow. Follow the A590 towards Barrow and Newby Bridge. Stay on the A590 towards Barrow and you will pass the working Steam Railway. Turn right at the next junction signposted 'Bouth'. Turn left at the first T junction we are half a mile up on the right-hand side.

By Train: Black Beck Holiday Park is a 30-minute drive from Barrow-In-Furness Train Station.

Arrived very late at the park due to traffic, the wardens on the site met me, showed me to the pitch, checked we were ok and asked I needed anything, eggs etc. I could not have felt more welcome, fantastic. The park is beautiful, clean, friendly and welcoming. I returned a week later for an overnight stop purely because my first experience at the park was so pleasant. I was not disappointed second time round. Will without question be booking again.
