Ynysymaengwyn Caravan & Camping Park is a beautiful holiday park on the southern edge of the famous Snowdonia National Park on the west coast of Wales. It has a four-star rating from the AA as well as a Green Flag Award.
The campsite offers a relaxing environment for families looking to escape from the busy nature of everyday life. Ynysymaengwyn Caravan & Camping Park has a number of permanent owned static homes used by returning guests, as well as offering pitches for guests with tents, motorhomes and touring caravans. Electric hook-ups are available (for a fee), plus there is a toilet and shower block, and a laundrette. There is a small shop at the site, stocking camping essentials and groceries, with fresh milk and bread delivered daily along with newspapers.
The site's fun adventure playground will keep children entertained, while keen walkers will find miles of woodland walks within the site boundaries. This is also a dog friendly campsite – please keep your dogs under control at all times and remember to clean up after them. There is a small additional charge for dogs.
If you're a keen cyclist, you will be pleased to learn that Ynysymaengwyn Caravan & Camping Park has a secure bicycle storage facility, plus the site stocks puncture repair kits and Ordnance Survey maps, so you can keep on the road and plan your next day's adventures.
There are lots of campsites in Wales, but Ynysymaengwyn Caravan & Camping Park's proximity to the coast is an advantage for many. Tywyn, a town and seaside resort on the Cardigan Bay coast, is less than two miles from this campsite. Here you will find a safe and sandy beach that is perfect for swimming – or maybe sailing, canoeing or windsurfing are more your cup of tea? There's a tennis court and a putting green nearby, too. If it's chilly, the town also has an indoor pool and a leisure complex. Or for something very different, you could visit the town's Narrow Gauge Railway Museum. It is also here that you can see the first known inscriptions in the Welsh language – head to St Cadfan's Church and see the Cadfan Stone. With lush, green landscapes all around and the sea on your doorstep, it is easy to see why this is a popular seaside town.
It will take you around an hour to drive to another seaside town, Aberystwyth, which is about 30 miles south of Tywyn. A thriving university town with a charming seafront, it's well worth a day out when you're saying here on the west coast of Wales.

The woodlands are spoiled by the amount of dog mess around. There are a few signs around to keep dogs on leads but they are mostly ignored. Lots of locals use the woods as the local dog toilet as well.
I promise if you walk in the woods you will step in dog mess. Its everywhere !

This well set out & run site is a real pleasure to use,
clean toilets & Showers washing up facilities ,woodland
walks that captivate the imagination of children & adults alike, the wildlife and views around the site make it one of the best in Wales,The wardens go that
extra mile to make everyones stay special.
