A superbly run quiet site close to all the tourist spots such as Whitby, Filey and the beach at Scarborough. Visit Peasholme Park and Scarborough Fair too. The staff are friendly and to be highly recommended.

Nice level site in a beautiful setting.
No noise from the working dairy farm its situated on
The toilet block was big and clean with piping hot showers.
I'd read some reviews complaining of the list of "don'ts" on the back of the site map you are given. There was nothing on that list that I wouldn't have expected & at least if it's written down everyone knows where they stand as opposed to claiming they "didn't know".
Secure barrier to prevent unauthorised access & there is a nice, well signposted walk across the fields into Robin Hood Bay
I'd have no hesitation in returning to this site

Spent two days here and very convenient for local amenities and easy access to Robin Hoods Bay and Whitby.
Camp site is ok, showers whilst we were there was at best just barely warm and at worst cold.
Not good considering we had 2 and a half year old grandson with us.
Property manager response (13 Sep 2010)
We are very dissapointed that Mr Cruikshank did not let us know about the temperature of the showers, whilst he was still with us. We were not notified that there was an issue with the teperature of the showers in the said facilities until Saturday 11th September, when, as soon as we were notified, the problem was resolved with immediate effect. We have 2 seperate facilities blocks for all guests to use, shown on the information sheet we give to all guests. If Mr Cruikshank, or any other guests had let us know of the problem, then we could have not only resolved the issue, but also could have advised that our other facilities are less than a 2 minute walk away, available for all to use.

stopped for two nights with my family and we all found it totally relaxing.a lovely walk down to robin hoods bay ,10 minutes going and 25 minutes coming back, but well worth it.the only thing i would suggest is take a torch if you are coming back in the dark as there is no lighting.the shower blocks were lovely and clean and all the staff are very friendly. there is a griddler on site serving food at breakfast time and tea time, we never sampled the food but it smelt fab.all in all a great place to stop ,we will be going back in the summer.
